What's an affordable vacuum with swivel steering?

My two thoughts are:

1. Any reason for bag less over a bagged machine?

2. Wouldn't you want a machine where the motor unit is on the floor (like a Hoover Windtunnel as an example) and not having yours or her arms and back supporting the weight of the machine like many of the bag less machines?

1. The reason I want bagless is for the convenience factor. Bags have to be purchased, thrown away etc. I'm not fond of that.

2. I'm not sure what you're talking about. Most vacuums, including bagless, have the motor unit on the floor.

Cleaning filters and cyclones isn't what I would consider convenient but if you do more power to you.

As for the motor unit. Some of what is being described is just the power head is resting on the floor. Therefor most of the weight is in the upper part of the unit adding weight on the handle that the user has to support. The motor is in the upper part of the unit.

On a Hoover Windtunnel, Kirby or Eureka Sanitaire vacuum the motor unit is the base of the machine. Therefor most of the weight of the machine is on the floor and the user supports the handle and dust compartment/collection system.
