What's a good natural gas dryer brand

So we are upgradeing to gas from electric, plus here gas is super duper cheap were talking 50 65 cents compared to 2 or 3 dollars in electricity. So what is the best brand? We are also on limited money and our dryer we have now is on the fritz.

I'd say anything made by Whirlpool with the top mounted lint filter. Whirlpool makes Mautag, Kenmore, etc. as well. Very durable, fast drying, and quiet. I wouldn't go for any of the higher end models with electronic controls, not as good in my opinion.

in your area and found this one. I don't know your budget but this looks to be good bang for the buck. If money is tight i saw a Whirlpool for $20 that will probably do the job just fine.

could be a nice buy as well, and the price is right! Sitting means it's been used very little and the machine harkins back to the era when they built 'em sturdy. As long as it sat in a dry enviorment.

Maybe it's just MY opinion, but................

perhaps he'd have a better chance of selling the machine if, say, EVERYTHING was taken OFF and shoppers could SEE the machine? Just an idea. Perhaps he'd also reduce a risk of fire if al of that cloth fabric weren't sitting on top of a machine that has a live flame generating heat. But, I'm not an expert on such things.

you decide on, dials instead of pretty lights and push buttons, those scream circuit boards with issues bound to come. The simpler, the better.

We have used Whirlpool products for years and been very happy. Still made in Anerica Just got a new dishwasher cant hear that at all. Good luck Doug

Check out the clearance at lowes, hot point and GE aren't that bad at all. Granted they are less expensive but work well. Whirlpool duet series seem to be good too. I used to work in an appliance shop and surprisingly the boards were hardly an issue, usually it was careless use, clogged vents, broken lint screens etc. the most issues we had were, thermostats, thermistors, thermal fuses, heating elements, dryer drum felts, rollers, glides, and my fav job on the GE machines were the front bearings. Samsung and LG make decent dryers. The older whirlpools worked excellent when properly cared for.

I agree. Whirlpool or Maytag would be good choices. And also keep the controls simple. Manual push buttons or dials. Electronic controls combined with heat and humidity just spell trouble. Sadly those types are going by the way side if favor of the electronic controls. A mid priced model will dry just as well as the most expensive model with all the bells and whistles. Also opt for the largest lint screen offered.
