I am curious to know which year this Kent was made in.

It has a 70s looking Eureka Style hood, but a 6 height position adjuster. When did Eureka start making vacuums with 6 height adjustments?

I would think 80s, but it does not have vents, so I think maybe mid 70s.

Eureka's line of Series 2000 Dial-a-Nap uprights had adjusters with 6 positions even in 1973. I think the top-rated model 2042 had 6 positions. Just look at any Series 2000 Instruction Manual from 1974 and you'll see the adjuster shown along with the Rugulator high end alternative.

I had one like that....

That I gave away in my barn clean out. I received it as a trade in from an old lady, when I had my store. She had said that she bought hers in 1980, and the base was indeed dated 1980. Mine had the same blue base, same handle, same bag, and a black cord, but mine had the ESP style hood with a headlight. I would take a guess and presume that, that one is from around the same time period.

Hope this helps!

Yes 1989 was the time they used them at the Raddison Justice Aquatic Center in Orlando on I-Drive. I bought one off one of the housekeepers there for $10 brand new, chrome hood 6.0 amp motor dual F&G bag. Amazing what you can get just by asking.
