I think Centraluxs are overall decent for what they are. However though, I personally would not recommend them or use one in my own home. On the power units, The dust would circumvent the filter and cake up the motor fan with dirt which would cause the motor to sound louder overtime, and eventually the motor would go bad. It's not just Aerus but with any system that uses the same filter set up as the Centralux. If it were me, I would wash the filter every time that I would use it. As for the attachments, the hose is wire reinforced. Heavier, more expensive, and generally has less airflow than a crush proof hose. Not good if someone would accidently step on the hose and ruins it. Also the wands are plastic. On the wands, I would usually see electrical connections go bad on them and I would usually see those spring buttons including the neck break. And there's no manual height adjuster on the powerhead, it won't deep clean carpets as well as other powernozzles I've used that do have them. Again they're decent systems but bottom line is there are much better options out there.
According to the current Centralux manual, they now have have the option to use a bag liner for cleaner and easier emptying. Similar to what Vacumaid uses on their cyclonic units. Also, it looks as the whole system is assembled in the US. And from what I heard, you could special order the electric pistol grip hose and attachments from Aerus. If you wanted to use the Aerus central vac attachments, that's what I would recommend over the deluxe accessory kit. Or you could get the Perfect Central Vac Tool Kit which would be alot cheaper.
