I haven't noticed scratching from Magic Eraser but they do put a white film on everything and it's hard to get that off- lots of rinsing. Rubbing alcohol does work very well amazingly.
Someone here on Vacuumland recommended a fluid called Zaino Z-14 which cleans plastic without scratching. See link below.
I has been complaining that most vacuum dusting brushes are not soft enough to clean plastic dashboard screens and even plastic canister vacuum bodies without leaving fine hairline scratches. Years of dusting my clear record turntable cover with a Eureka synthetic dusting brush scratched it really badly. Even using a Kenmore horsehair dusting brush on its own plastic canister body left hairline scratches on the Kenmore.
a damp cloth and Bon Ami. It is a very MILD cleaner, recommended for use on china, porcelain, fiberglass, etc.
It always gets the marks off for me. I have Magic Erasers, too. Although, I rarely ever use them.
