Can anyone know what were the last good Bissells made before the company went downhill? Just wondering because the older Bissells are becoming harder to find.

They are nearly impossible to find. Although lately I've found that their newest products are pretty decent. The new Cleanview line of theirs is pretty cool. Although the brushroll on mine went out after 3 months of use. whomp.

I hope I don't get shot for saying so, but I think the Powerforce bagged and bagless uprights, and Cleanview uprights made until just recently, (the bagged version is still available) are good machines for their price range. We had a bagged Powerforce from 2003 at our church and It just refused to quit. The brushroll had worn down to nearly nothing, the front wheels wore though the axle, and the back wheels were loose. The handle release was broken from many trips down the stairs, but it still picked up suprisingly well and sounded decent. The headlight even still worked. I moved about a year ago, and I'm pretty sure it was stolen, along with several other vacuums. If not, it is still going just fine.

Bissell is still making their best vacuums. The Healthy Home & Heavy Duty multi-cyclonic uprights are a perfect example. I have had my Healthy Home for a little over 3 years now, with NO PROBLEMS at all. And it is easily one of the best-cleaning clean air uprights that I have in the collection.

I always wanted a powerglide! Weren't they the ones when they came out they had like, a sound sample or something on their website to show how quiet they were? I remember so distinctly years ago that Bissell had sound samples to show how much quieter they were than the competition.
