What vintage is a 615 Kirby?

I picked up this grungy Kirby a couple weeks ago at a "junk barn". I would like to know what it's vintage is, and if it's a "frankenkirby"!

Looks to be a rather rare Canadian Kirby to me...

That must be the Canadian equivalent of the US "515" which is from 1955.  Here is a pic of my 515 with all the original accessories.  The bag on mine in the picture is from a later model.  I have the original bag which matches the one on your machine but mine is in fragile condition.

Well that sure does look the same! I wonder why they labeled our Kirbys with different numbers?

Didn't Hoover do the same thing with their model numbers depending upon where they were manufactured?  Your UK-made Hoover 612 for instance would be the US model 61.

Does your 615 have the 6-bladed fan or the 10-bladed one?

The Label says

" Made in Canada " ...

Except that it has the toggle switch and I think that was phased out with the 513. Hmmm... very interesting! Great find too!
