What vacuum do you think was the last good Eureka?

You're going to criticize me for saying this but in my humble opinion, this yellow and black Eureka The Boss central vacuum CV1601 (With a bag). I have an older full black version of it and I'd take it over any Eureka portable vacuum there is as I think these were Eureka's best vacuum they've ever made. These were also sold in Canada as Kenmore from Sears.

I have to agree that the SmartVac with the three separate on-board World Vac attachments was their last great vacuum cleaner….of course, that was just before being sold to Midea.

this might not be the answer to the question

But I think the late 90's and early 00's Smartvac series were the last "good" Eureka vacuums, sure the series was made up of vacuums with there own problems like the 4870 and victory but it was an end of an era for Eureka. After this "The BOSS" didn't really mean anything anymore, it was just a name that Eureka slapped on there vacuums to make them look "better" (Eureka Ultra Smartvac > Eureka "The BOSS" Smartvac), and after this era Eureka started making cheap Bagless vacuums destined for a dumpster.

The Smartvac series (in my opinion) was so great because it was all of Eureka's popular designs but with the most features, I mean who wouldn't want a Eureka victory with a stretch hose, HEPA filter, and "DIRT ALERT" or even a self propelled one!

I agree on the Smartvac, good machine, good setup and nice attachments. Either that or the 1934B. Although they still make the Mighty Mite and that is still a pretty good little canister.
