Andy yes, It was Angie Watt's Hoover Convertible.

Ethel was seenpushing it around the most though being the pubs 'char lady'.

When Angie left Den to run 'The Dagmar' she had a Green Turbopower U2332 that 'Mad Mary' used when she was cleaning the pub.

Pauline Fowler had an OOvah Junior recon in the early days when Lou was alive.

Mark and Ruth Fowler had the white turbo boost that Pauline ended up with in later years

Joanne Gardner Barron Tate Vincente Tourneur, played by Mary Stuart, on SEARCH FOR TOMORROW (CBS Television: 1951-1982; NBC Television: 1982-1986) would probably have used a G-E SWIVEL TOP or a PENNCREST. Over the years she was a housewife, the owner of Motor Haven Inn, a librarian at the Henderson Hospital, co-owner of Hartford House--an upscale B & B, and a hostess at a tavern, "The Riverboat". Viewers were shocked when she divorced her last husband (all her other husbands had died during their marriages to her). Mary Stuart confessed that because she had divorced him because of his infidelity, she laughingly considered herself the "world's oldest ingenue" (source: Wikipedia).

Joanne's best friends were her neighbors, Stu and Marge Bergman, played by actors Larry Haines and Melba Rae. Marge would undoubtedly have purchased the same vacuum cleaner from a door-to-door salesman after one referred the other to him.

Note: Miss Stuart and Mr. Haines played their respective characters for the entire run of the show. Miss Rae played her character from the show's inception until her death in 1971.

Nancy Pollock Karr, on THE EDGE OF NIGHT, was a newspaper journalist and the wife of Mike Karr, who initially was a police detective and later an attorney. She likely would have used a LADY KENMORE for her house cleaning needs.

THE EDGE OF NIGHT was an American television mystery series/soap opera which was broadcast on CBS Television from 1956 to 1975 and on ABC Television from 1975 to 1984. From Wikipedia: "It was in 1956 that a writer from the Perry Mason radio show, Irving Vendig, created a retooled idea for daytime television—and The Edge of Night was born. "John Larkin, radio's best identified Perry Mason, was cast as the protagonist-star, initially as a detective, eventually as an attorney, in a thinly veiled copy of (Perry Mason)."

Adam Drake, was Mike Karr's law partner.

Note: (From Wikipedia) During most of the show's run, the show's viewers were treated to an announcer enthusiastically and energetically announcing the show's title, "Theee Edge...of Night!" Bob Dixon was the first announcer in 1956, followed by Herbert Duncan. The two voices most synonymous with the show, however, were those of Harry Kramer (1957–1972) and Hal Simms, who announced until the series ended in 1984.

GENERAL HOSPITAL (GH): is an American daytime television medical drama that is listed in Guinness World Records as the longest-running American soap opera in production and the third longest-running drama in television in American history after GUIDING LIGHT and AS THE WORLD TURNS. It has aired on the ABC Television Network from April 1, 1963 to the present.

Nurse Lucille (March) Weeks would have likely used a WESTINGHOUSE tank cleaner.

Nurse Jessie Brewer would have probably used a REGINA canister.

Nurse Audrey (March) Hardy's housecleaning would have been done by a maid who would have used a ROYAL upright. She was married to Dr. Steve Hardy, Chief of Internal Medicine at General Hospital.

Note: Mr. John Beradino, who played the part of Dr. Steve Hardy; Miss Lucille Wall, who played the part of Nurse Lucille (March) Weeks; and Miss Emily McLaughlin, who played the part of Nurse Jessie Brewer all originated their roles in 1963. Miss Wall's illness forced her into recurring status beginning in 1976 until 1982. She passed away in 1986. Miss McLaughlin and Mr. Beradino remained in their roles until their deaths in 1991 and 1996, respectively. Miss Rachel Ames was under contract with the show from 1964 to 2002, and on recurring status from 2002 to 2007 and has made guest appearances since in 2009 and 2013.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES, which has aired on the NBC Television Network since November 1965 initially focused on the Horton family: Dr. Tom (Macdonald Carey), his wife, Alice (Frances Reid); and their children (twins) Tommy, Jr. (role not cast until 1967) and Addie, Mickey, Bill, and Marie. The other original characters in 1965 were Julie Olson (Susan Seaforth Hayes, #4, Addie's daughter), Craig Merritt (Marie's first husband), and Anthony Merritt (Craig's son).

Mrs. Dr. Horton's maid would have likely used a HOOVER Dial-A-Matic or an ELECTROLUX.

Addie Horton Olson Williams' maid could have done house cleaning with a KIRBY or a SINGER.

Marie Horton Merritt Curtis may have cleaned her house with a RICCAR.

Notes: The opening sequence of the show first included a voice over by announcer Ed Prentiss. Since 1966 it has been voiced over by Macdonald Carey (with updates). When Mr. Carey passed away in 1994 the second sentence of his voice over "Like sands through the hourglass so are the days of our lives. This is Macdonald Carey, and these are the days of our lives" was omitted.

Other original and early Horton family members' tenure on the show: Frances Reid remained on contract with Days of Our Lives through her death on February 3, 2010, though she last appeared on the show in December 2007; Maree Cheatham, portrayed Marie Horton from 1965-68 and 1970-73 under contract and 1994, 1996, and 2010 as a guest; John Lupton, portrayed Tom Horton, Jr. from 1967-72 and 1975-1979; John Clarke, who played Mickey Horton, left the series in 2004. Suzanne Rogers, who plays Maggie Horton, Mickey's former wife, has been on the show since 1973, and Susan Seaforth Hayes has played Julie Olson Williams since 1968 with a few breaks in between and also her husband Bill Hayes, who has played Doug Williams since 1970, though neither Seaforth Hayes or Hayes is employed with the serial on contract. Miss Hayes is the only cast member to have appeared on the show during all of its six decades.
