Hi all, another PN that was given to my by a Shop owner. It is a Panasonic, but I wondered if anyone knows to what vacuum it belong.

None of the Google searches turned up this design but I was hoping someone has one of these. Please share a picture of the unit.

I just replaced the belt, but I think the one I used may be too tight for the motor. Did not run it long, but the top case felt a little warm right over the motor.

Thanks.

Oh!

Thanks, Tom. It seems as though I keep finding fun vacuum cleaners and in this case, PN, only they turn out to be the low end version. I hope someone knows the proper belt to use with it.

Cool thing is I can use it with any orphan canister.

Thanks again,
G.

I'd have to dig it up, but one of my hard drives has photos of catalogs from Panasonic Jet-Flo canisters. This model was entry level. Panasonic had 12" and 14" power heads at the time. I have 3 of the 14" power nozzles. Each one uses the same belt but has some differences of headlight and other features.

I believe that the 14" and 12" models both used the same belt style CB. However, I find that belt stretches way to quick and gives and looses tension quick. Therefore, I now use Hoover Windtunnel canister 38528-036 belts in each of my Panasonic power heads and they do very very well with those belts.

Nice find, Panasonic had really great stuff back in the day!

Found my photos!

I found the catalog photos I had. I also decided to take out all of my Panasonics for you and take some photos, plus some older photos I had of a time I did servicing on the newest one.

Also a lot of people tend to recommend Kirby belts for many power heads. I tried installing a Kirby belt into one of these and I thought the belt was too wide for the housing design of these units.

Also the link below is a Youtube video for a 14" Panasonic Jet-Flo model MC-9410. It's not my video but it's a great example of how quiet, powerful and pleasant sounding these units are.

Thnnks Rob,

for taking the time and effort to find the catalog images, video and pictures of your collection. I appreciate it.

Of course now, I will have to find one of these (entry level) vacs.
The only other thing is to use it with an orphan vacuum or sell this PN.

Thanks again for everyone's responses.
