What model of Kirby do these hoses go with??

I found these while cleaning out spare parts rooms. I was hoping to find tools and things like this to complete some of my collection peices.
I know these go with the 562-daul 50 models but I don't know which ones. Please help thanks.

As you can see the one on the right has a little white strip pattern on it which led me to believe it must go to the Sani-7 model because the shoulder strap has a white stripe but i'm told that's not the case. It does have the newer style coupler. The one the left has older coupler and is much heavier

Phillip, the hose on the left goes to the 562. The other one I would bet is using the original hose ends for a Sanitronic VII or a Dual 50. In fact, it might be a Rainbow hose because it reminds me of one of those. Since its light tan it might be off the D2 model. The hose for the Sanitronic VII and Dual 50 were pretty much the same color as the 562. I could be wrong on that, I don't think I've ever had all three hoses together at the same time but separately they all look the same to me. The 562 was the only Sanitronic model to use the adapter that hooks to the motor like the earlier Kirby models had. The Sanitronic VII was the first to integrate the adapter into the hose so it was all one piece. Hope this helps.

The one with the newer style coupling

is definitely from either a Sanitronic VII or a DS 50.  They both had the same color attachments and hose.  Difference is that the hoses are not interchangeable between the two.  The Sani VII is the last single speed Kirby, and the DS 50 is the first dual speed machine.  A hose from a Sani VII will not engage the safety/speed selector switch on a DS 50.

Then what differences would the universal coupler's attaching lugs be in regards to the Sanitronic VII and Dual Sanitronic 50? The length of the attaching lugs appear to be the same for both. Am I missing something here?

Second one definitely goes with the D50 or Sanitronic VII.
First one, with the metal coupler, I'm insure. Maybe the 562.

The metal suction coupler was last used on the 562, so that model would be what the hose in the 1st picture is from (it's the hose on the left).

The Sanitronic VII was the first Kirby to use the universal coupler (patent 3,279,828) and replaced the separate suction (motor) and blower (bag) couplers on all Kirbys going back to the 516. After the Dual Sanitronic 50 came out in 1965, the hose coupler's right attaching lug had to be lengthened in order to gain the new high speed mode.

About six months after the introduction of the Classic Omega, the safety switch was again changed. That meant the universal coupler's right attaching lug was again lengthened to accommodate the newer-style safety switch's speed control arm, in order to activate the high speed mode. The Omega's hose also was changed to include holes in the metal swivel tube connector (tool end of hose). The surface nozzle elbow and the two extension wands also had holes on their tapered ends.

Since time has expired for me to edit my posts, I need to make the following corrections:


 


When the Dual Sanitronic 50 came out in 1965, the existing universal coupler design was given a protruding tab located close to the right attaching lug, so as to trip the 2nd button of the newly-designed safety switch (2nd being high speed for hose use). The Crystalator was also given the same protruding tab for the same reason. Therefore, you can identify which of these is for the Sanitronic VII and which are for the D50. The lack of the tab by the right attaching lug would mean the hose and Crystalator was designed only for the VII.


 


Later on, the universal coupler and Crystalator (w/o the protrusion for the high speed mode) would be replaced by equivalents with the protruding tab by the right attaching lug.

Hose

The left hose fits 516-sanatronic 7 second hose fits d50-classic I believe like Ben mentioned the Omega or even classic has the has another safety switch. I don't like safety switches. I want to use same hose multiple vacuums.
I believe 505-515 you attacheted over bracket hitting the safety switch. I'm not sure if it was same as exhaust attachment for blower. I recently got a 508 hose and have not looked at it yet.

Can you identify this coupler connection? I bought the kit and thought it would work on my 518 but it doesn't fit. Is this for a 505-515 mode
. Notice the difference btwn the one that fits my 516. Ideas?

The one I see at left would indeed be for models 505-515, due to the fact there is no rubber seal mounted on the fan case of these models, and also the position of the speed switch lug.

Yes, the hose without the universal suction coupler can be used on the 505 to 562 models (but the one with the plastic fitting I earlier described can fit models back to the 516), but it is the metal suction coupler (the one that goes on the front of the motor) itself that is more specific: if it does not have the protrusion for the O-ring gasket and also has the speed switch lug to the right (instead of center) when installed on the machine, it's for models 505-515.
