I will 2nd it,3rd it,whatever-feel the Sunbeam Mixmasters do best with cake batters, frostings, pancake, waffle batters and french toast batter. The planetary mixers do best for DOUGH making-as for bakers. And the Mixmasters mash potatoes better, too. You can even use the Mixmaster motorhead to do potatoes or other mixing in any container.

Although I use my Kitchenaid for cookies, cakes, etc.

nothing does mashed potatoes as well as the Sunbeam. I found that out the hard way....right before a dinner I was having at the house.
I recently picked up a grinder, in the original Sunbeam box...a whole $5.00 !!
I also have my late mother's turquoise hair dryer in the original box!
There is a big metal cabinet in the first cellar, filled with appliances. Someday, I'll open it and see what's really in there. I might be surprised.

MMMMMM David

made a Bu^ndt cake! Looks tasty. Appropriate for any big Greek, Italian, Irish, or Polish, etc. wedding rehearsal dinner.
If you don't eat meat, they'll give you lamb instead.
The first wedding cake was fruit cake. (No Lie).
I have a recipe from "cooking light" in 2005 for a sour cream hazelnut bundt cake filled with Nutella.
Anyone who reads the Nutella ingredients knows it is not low fat, and has hydrogenized palm oil. Not cardiac friendly, but it's a good cake too.

I reply: That statement reminds me of my high school German teacher, who had a placard on the classroom wall that said (in German) "All good things in life are illegal, immoral or fattening".

John!

You're not the only one with too many mixers, my friend! I have a KitchenAid stand mixer, also -- it will be 25 years old later this year (maybe around August or so) since my wife and I bought it when we got married -- as well as two GE stand mixers, one (or maybe two) GE hand mixer, and one (if not two) KitchenAid hand mixers! Plus, I have one of those multi-speed Braun Multipractic stick blenders, a KitchenAid stick blender, a Vitamix, a GE blender, and a Hoover blender.

And for good measure, there's also my Mom's Sunbeam Mixmaster and KitchenAid blender.

(I'll try and post pictures later.)

I've got a Kenwood Chef A901, the same as my mum had when I grew up. This isn't hers, but one from eBay that was a steal!
I've rebuilt the speed controller with new caps, resistors and triac as they have a habit of going pop after 30 years.
