Since getting a bunch to play with I have been using a 1950s Kenwood Chef, I really like it, I know a lot of you use Kitchen Aids, but does anyone use a really old one like I do , Model G, K, or 3.....????Who doesent like new mixers at all, most of you know I really have a dislike for most newer things, However, I got some newer mixers in all this stuff and I have to admit, they are great, A Waring mixer bowl and a Bosch come to mind..Of course they would be considered vintage to many, LOL

I use my Kitchen Aid K5A which I purchased in a real Hobart store in Allentown PA in 1983 at the same time we bought our Kitchen Aid Superba. We also have a Kitchen Aid Artisan which was purchased in 2009

I use a Kitchen aid but I also have a Sunbeam stand mixer from the 70s as well as a General Electric hand mixer from the 60s. And I just ordered a Cuisinart (similiar to the Kitchen Aid) which should be at the post office today.

I also

Have a K-5 A from about 65, and have used it for many years, I buy chuck roast when its on sale, usually 10 to 20 pounds and grind it into hamburger and freeze it, the old K5 does a great job.

I have four Kitchenaid's, three of them made before 1950. My favorite is my purple one. Of course my favorite color is purple too. I have all the attachments for it as well. My purple Kitchenaid is used every single day. I also have a KitchenAid Superba classic 21 dishwasher.

Tom...

Don't you agree that the old KA dishwashers are light years ahead of anything made today!

Re Dormeyer

That's what I grew up with, about all my family had Dormeyers, Grandmother had a Dormey Portable, Mother and her Sister, Mixwells and aunt Mable a chrome Princess. My Grandmother Craig had a chrome Mixmaster Junior which I still have...in the original box, just as she kept it from 1956 when she got it for Christmas from my Uncle.

I don't use them all that often but I have a couple of chrome Sunbeam stand mixers from the '70s. My go-to is a Vista model with a built-in work light. I also have a food processor attachment to go with them, which for shredding and slicing works better than my regular food processor. I've also got a non-motorized hand mixer, probably from the '60s, that I use in the mornings to scramble my eggs. It makes 'em nice and fluffy.

My favorite mixer.

Oster Kitchen Center, that thing does it all. It's a mixer, blender, food processor, meat grinder, with optional attachments to make ice cream, crush ice, it even makes pasta. This thing is awesome.

Anyone else have a nutone power center, I grew up with one. Had all kinds of attachments, it came out when my mom remodeled the kitchen but she saved it I believe.

I have had my Kitchen Aid bowl lift mixer for about 2 years. It replaced a KA tilt mixer. It was a mistake...I do not like the bowl lift at all...too difficult to add ingredients as well as remove the bowl since the beater must be removed first. I've been looking at the Cuisinart tilt head model so when I saw it on sale for $199 CAD (regular price $599) I couldn't resist. I received it on Thurs and used it yesterday to make 3 dozen pineapple carrot muffins. I love the 'fold' feature and the timer, not to mention that it fits underneath my cupboards so I can leave it on the counter top.

Yes Hans. The Kitchenaid is the best dishwasher ever made. And the model I have, the KUDS 21 is considered their finest hour. Lots of water, lots of electricity, and 40 minutes later your dishes are spotless.

I have baked since I was 7, did not always have a Kitchenaid, used to have a Sunbeam from around 78? Almond? Not wanting to open a can of worms here, but I FELT it did cake batter better. Horse poop, or was I thinking right? It seemed to fluff it better.
