LUX, LUX and LUX...;-) Model G turquoise with the more powerful motor....varoooooom! Love the 1205's, but it's a bit nondescript...warming up to it though!
That Hoover Model 70 with the headlight is very pretty in blue! I think my first vacuum was like that; without the headlight and in pink....bought around '74.
You can put a 4 brush aggitator in your Tradition. All you need is an aggitator for the Heritage model. The ends on the aggitator are the same as on all the 16" kirby models. I have put them in Classic models and Classic Omega models. The 4 brush aggitator works GREAT in those older machines.
As for the hose end. I put tape over the holes or you may be able to locate the metal hose end with out the air bleeder holes. (use scotch tape anything more will cause breakage of the tools attached due to stress)
That certainly is the most artistic display of a collection I've seen. The alternating DAMs on the wall was a brilliantly creative idea, and a great space-saver as well. Hoover really excelled at making cleaning a "colorful" experience!
Mr. Jeff Parker's fab collection. I was there when we were at the convention in Chicago. My good friend Tom, in Ohio, has the DAM s displayed that way, too. I leave there inspired. HOOVER did love color, didn't they?
I guess as for favorite vintage vacuum-or favorite vacuum of all time, for that matter- is the Kirby Tradition. It's been my favorite since before I even had one! It also will have a special place in my heart because it was my first resto project.
