Over the years we have had many people come and go, but there have been no shortage of showing off their amazing Hoovers. What is your longtime running favorite? Current favorite?

Currently, I am loving my newly gifted model 31 Special. It is all original including the super long (and quiet!) wind up motor. I’ve just given it a full service including polishing the commutator, greasing all of the motor/brushroll bearings with a Hoover branded grease gun, and giving it a beautiful shine.

It looks amazing with another favorite, the model 65. Mine came in very rough shape, but has been given the same treatment. Along with a full service it received from my parts bin: an original Hoover cord, a red switch, a NOS brushroll, and a proper pink genuine Hoover replacement bag. Someday I will find an original bag for this machine. Until then, this one looks great. Some have pointed out they like how this bag looks better than the original.

Anyway, what is your current or all time favorite?

Beautiful job on both, Kyle!

I have 2 pink 65s, and 1 gold one.
My favorite(s) would be: Convertible model 69,70,1070, 1076, all 4 of the 'flower power bags', I forgot the model numbers offhand, but, they are taupe, goldtone, ceylon yellow, and the red/pink model. I just saw all of these yesterday.
Constellations: the ceylon yellow 'tilt', and the last one they made, the pumpkin and seal griege
I love them all of course, but those are my favorites

I like the........

styling of the 1076 best. I'm rather found of the old Connies, but I can't take them seriously. However the retro Connie gets used a LOT. I have the painted one....don't like the shiny one.

So sadly then, only the two. I did have a pink 'Special' I bought my second yr of college around '73. I had just rebuilt that upright in '84 when the Electrolux lady can aknockin'. Unfortunately against my will, she took that vac as a 'trade in'. I was devastated.....lol.

If I had to choose out of any Hoover vacuum made, either the 1911 Hooverette, Hoover 61, or the 29.
Out of ones I have, my matching set of the Quik Broom Deluxe and U4119, or maybe my near mint 1982 Portapower QS(pics later).

Hi Everyone!!

I have always liked the what I call mustard hoover convertible. Not top of the range but still a fave. I would love to be able to buy one and have it shipped here. When I lived in Boca Raton I had a neighbour who owned one. I like the green and white version but still liked this one just that bit more. I remember seeing this in the local True Value Hardware Store. When I think back to my teenage years I should have bought one of these when they were in stores.

Gary.

Gosh, anything from 90s powermax and especially earlier. My personal favorite is my 700 with a 750 motor and 700 fan and not counting my 150 for instant tool conversion anything from 1937 thru 1976. 77 and after I favor some over others but I've never had a problem with anything early 90s and earlier.
I have to try some additional hoovers to confirm how many more I might also like.

Very nice Hoovers!

I’ve had a decently wide array of Hoovers over the years, from Convertibles to Concepts, but my preference actually lies with one of Hoovers later “platforms.” Although others won’t feel the same as I do, my favorite Hoovers are Elites. Top two are my Legacy II 820 U4551-910 and my C1403. Although they’re both Elites, they differ greatly. One is a very early, basic, commercial model and the other is an optioned-out household model, but I appreciate them both.

Next would come my Elite “Energy Efficient” and my Sprint.

Although I don’t own one, I also like the idea of the latest bagged Conquest. I’d love to get my hands on one.

@ gotthaveahoover,

I have bought vacs from California before. I think it might have been $120.00 I will have to think more on that after I have moved home next month.
