Just because it shows that it's on the website doesn't mean they are still making them. In fact I just got off from their commercial website and I don't see the Guardsman listed on there. If a product got discontinued and if it's still showing on their website, that would most likely mean that they are just selling whatever they would have left at the warehouse.

Aerus Lux classic

The Aerus Lux classic uses the original hose and wand design started in 1974 on the Electrolux golden Jubilee. Improved by mid 1980s and unchanged since then. Power nozzle is same as mid 80s design also. The entire canister is a mid 80s design too from Electrolux of Canada. A remarkably sturdy vacuum and style that stands the test of time. Hose material was improved from woven to rubber style which lasts much better.

The Aerus Lux Guardian classic uses the Combination rug and floor tool introduced in 1953.

All current Aerus models use the combination dusting brush upholstery “contour” tool introduced in 1953. It was originally called a contour tool because its wings fir the upholstery tool can be folded to for to any contour of furniture including round bolder arms and corners.
