This is HEAVY and OLD! Maybe somebody here can tell me more about this, like how old, rarity, value, used for carpet or flat floors, etc?

From the tag I can read -

TUEC
**** (can't make it out) VACUUM CLEANER HEAD
Atlantis (?) Products
Model No. 7000 Serial No. *******
Mfg. by

? TUEC ?

If this is the one I have only heard of it was to be pulled back and forth in hard to reach areas such as floors under church pews, classroom desks, etc.Tuecs were often built in with long hoses.Could be 1910-1920??I think others have seen literature.

This came out of a university building... not sure if it was used for the purposes it was designed for or if it was used for some experimental/research stuff...

It is indeed a pool vacuum cleaner head as indicated by the plaque. I'd be curious as to when it was made and if "TUEC" is any affiliation to The United Electric Company which made the Ohio Tuec vacuum cleaner in the 1910's and '20's?

I think this may answer some of my original questions as well as the question of this being from The United Electric Company or not.

Still have no clue as to its value or rarity. Does this belong in the Smithsonian? lol, ya right.

The pool vacuum I used when we lived in a house that had one-the cleaner head was connected to VERY long "wands"that you used while staning on the edge of the pool.the wands were long enough to reach the bottom of the deep end.for pool cleaning they were fine-but out of the pool the head and wands was unwieldy. It connected to the pump system.the debris was filtered out in a strainer basket like device. For using the pool-us boys had to take care of it.Out pool vacuum had no ropes on it.
