What does the manual look like for a model 86 ELUX?

Hey Dylan:

There was no manual for the 83 or 86. The model 88 manual came with both and there was a sheet (see picture) attached to the front of it that detailed the differences of the model 83 or 86.

It suddenly dawned on me that I should really have a classic Canadian Electrolux in my cleaning arsenal.....

I was born in Montreal and grew up there, and it would make me proud to own a pristine 88 or 86 that I know was actually manufactured in my home town. Silly me - why did I not think of this before? I could easily go into the Aerus dealership here in Toronto and pick up any of the old trade-ins that are always displayed in the window...:-)

Brian, would you happen to know around how much those trade-ins sell for? There's an Aerus dealer in Windsor, but Ive never thought about buying a trade-in before!

Daniel :-)

Hey there Daniel - you know, I really have no idea what they would sell for. I don't even know if the ones on display are even working properly. You could give them a call and ask. Let me Google the store and see if I can find a phone number.....

Aha...here it is:

Brian & Daniel, just so you know, there is an Aerus-Electrolux Dealer in North York, Ontario that has an ZB88 straight suction, AP100 & AP200 for sale right now in his showroom. I was just there on April 25th & he had them on display. They were just the canisters themselves, no attachments.

The contact info is:

Aerus Electrolux
5833 Yonge Street
Newtonbrook Plaza
North York, Ontario. M2M-3T9
Phone: 416-225-1173

The guy's name who owns the store is Salim. He's a very nice guy, very honest. If I remember correctly, if you are travelling by TTC, you have to take the subway & get off at FINCH station....it's about a 10 minute walk from that subway station.

Rob

Brian, you just HAVE to have an Electrolux in your collection!! A collection isn't complete without one. If you have to go for the red (88) or green (89), go for the green- the Lux 89, for whatever reason, they just sold more of, & are easier to find matching parts such as cordreels.
