What do you like/love when vacuuming?

I do miss having my vintage Hoover uprights! I loved the hum of my Hoover Senior whenever it was switched on although I disliked the fact that it never cleaned properly to the edges. The Hoover Junior U1104 was better in those respects. Also the Junior could take a fair amount of pushing under low furniture which my Senior wasn't so good with - light beige colours seems to hide the scratches better than the blue hood on my old Senior.

@gottahaveahoover I like that to (Albeit iv'e only heard it via videos as mine has a broken fan :/ )

@sebo_fan Agreed. I do like the seniors and juniors but I would rather have a Turbopower :P

I don't really care for the actual act of vacuuming very much. I'm not much of a clean nut - so I let Donnie do the housework. However, I do love hearing the 75th Anniversary Edition Rainbow start up. The brushless switched reluctance motor has a very unique sound as the field coils energize and make the armature spin.

The only other sound I enjoy with vacuums, is the sound of a Hoover model 700 starting. It has a sort of 'sing' to it as it starts. I can always tell a 700 by it's start up.

One thing I hate with a passion is vacuuming up cat liter with a dirty fan machine. I don't know why. It doesn't bother me when its a clean air machine.

I like the noise the UK Dyson DC07's, DC14/33's make, even with a blocked filter... Ahh :) even better with the brushbar on, ooh yeah xD

Another thing I enjoy when cleaning, watching the beater bar raise the stuff out of the carpet, then have it dissapear ! Love the sound of hearing stuff go up a hose too, gone!

I can answer that! Litter box installed in enclosed garage over thick pile carpet! You can't sweep it up. Dirty litter gets the shop vac, clean litter just the upright. He has huge furry paws and it helps stop some getting tracked into the house, via the kitty door

Here's another thing I like. Please ignore the fact it's filmed outside, it's the only quietest place.
