What differentiates these two Hoover models?

And the C1631 pictured with the black bag and much higher price?

Both take Type A bags and use the 6amp Convertible motor, but the C1631 has no headlight.  The CH50020  has LED headlights and is slightly newer.

The ch50020 claims to have hepa filtration vs allergen filtration on the c1631.
