What comes closest today to a 1960 canister Electrolux?

The PN1, 2 and 4 are fun to vacuum with. But unless you're left handed, the PN5 is my favorite for efficiency. The old Elux hoses with the tracers to match color schemes were indeed beautiful, but were doomed to fail with use/time. Show off the original hose with your setup, but use the newer hoses for real cleaning...lol.

20 years my Silverado smelled of dust when I ran it, no matter the bags,most factory issue. Tried the hepa for the Perfect, smell gone, much stronger,longer suction too

I still get a slight smell in my DD even with HEPA if they are in there long enough. I guess it's a tradeoff; replace the bags after a certain amount of time...even if they are not full, or live with some smell. I ordered some carbon pre-motor filters from Aerus....see how that works.


 


I also had a HEPA bag in a G that had been sitting a looooong time...turned it on and WOW...quite the smell!  I've got an old dog though that I'm always chasing with dander,  hair and DO (dog odor)....I suspect he's most of the problem.
