what bags does this vacuum take?

Hey guys.... I have a friend who has this vacuum back at home in Mass.... he lives here in FL, but his mom died a year ago and he's going up there to clear the house out.... he doesn't have any bags for his vacuum and asked me if I knew which one it took. I don't know much about older Eurekas, especially canisters.... he talked about throwing it away and getting something newer and I said DON'T YOU DARE! They don't make em like that anymore, and that's probably a really powerful vacuum. Kinda reminds me of when I sold vacs at Sears and customers came in wanting to replace their power drove Concept with a S/P WindTunnel.... I screamed DON'T YOU DARE even though I lost money doing it! I hate to see people discard good old vacuums for modern plastic junk when there's nothing wrong with the old vacuum, and it is in fact better than many of the new ones. Unless of course the old one winds up at my adoption home for wayward and abandoned floor care appliances ) Anyway, if any of you know what bags this vacuum takes and if they are still available, I'd love to know. That model takes a Eurepa type B bag. They should still be available, and if not there are a lot of them on ebay reasonably priced.

And you are correct about that being a very powerful vacuum.

I found one of these at the local dump last yr... worked fine and now it resides in my storage unit. I also just got a Montgomery wards Ironsides someone tossed out to the curb. why dont people see the good in older machines, I mean they still provide the same service they did when they left the factory and better service than the newer garbage that is being produced. Granted some machines that are made today are nice and do a great job, but there is nothing like a vintage vacuuming

A friend of mine was concerned about finding bags for his Hoover Portable or Slimline, and that was before 1992. I remember him being very concerned about it, and grabbing all the bags he could find. He and the machine are long gone, as of January 1992.

you can also use style *s* my rotomatic book says to use S, but i changed to B as did eureka. fits the same.

I have the Wards Version GREAT machine

I have the off white wards version that belong to my Grandmother. Great machine I just need a powernozzle motor and maybe a new hose. They bought it new (1978 or so) and then their current house in 1986 and the carpets still look new she currently uses a G4 thanks to me. She still does her own vacuuming at 84 but likes the self propelled feature on the G4. She asked me to take the Powerteam and turn in at the next Ewaste. I recycled it all right,into my own collection, that is. Just had to glue to hose end back together and since then the motor for the powernozzle died.
