And didn't find much of interest to myself, but I did see a black fantom fury with some cosmetic damage and a eureka world vac from the 90s but the bag was kind if faded. Those were at the habitat store. I also went to the Atlanta mission (the one my 516 came from) but they didn't have anything except the same JCPenny shop vac & the old beat up filter queen I saw there before. I kind of like the shop vac tho. But I have lately found myself being more interested in finding some convertibles. I may go to a few estate sales to look tomorrow....

Most properly defined, an "estate sale" is a sale of a deceased person's household effects. The sale is usually conducted by a company specializing in estate sales. And usually the sale is held in the home where the person lived, but not always.

However, nowadays people like to fancy-up their eBay listing by mellifluous terms as "Estate Sale" because "rummage sale, "yard sale," "garage sale" etc. don't sound as glamorous so it's used to tart-up junk (eh, that's "junque" haha) that was gotten most probably at a thrift shop.

It's when someone dies and their relatives put price tags on all their worldly possessions, and then open the front door to their former home to whomever may wonder in...sad, but true. I guess if it wasn't for this, it would all wind up in a great big trash heap on the side of the road.

Hello everyone, what years did JCpenney make a shop vac? Sometimes i find you can get good stuff at estate sales especially in really good condition, but it all depends i guess how people do take care of things.

Estate sales can yield interesting finds, especially at older homes. I rarely find old vacuums though, it seems even older folks tended to have newer vacuums.

I also have found many estate sales are not vintage at all, but newer homes full of stuff less than 15 years old. Many times someone didn't pass away, but instead people are downsizing from a larger home or selling a second home, so it's still technically called an estate sale.

The two estate sales I found myself on were in direct response of their former occupants downsizing to a 2x6 cuboid, although, I'm sure not the norm, but it happens very often enough to make one wonder.

Beat up Filter Queen?

I have the same Filter Queen!! Beat up? That thing will run forever! Were there any attachments or wands? The hose is worth that much at least.
