wasnt there a hoover called Elite- it looked sort of like this, but had a hose and stuff on the side? I want one of those!

I think your thinking of the Elite II. Similar color (depending on variant) to the 600 posted above, but in most aspects it was quite different. I also remember a bunch of Hoovers with the tools on the side other than the elite.

not real familiar with the hoovers...but kinda looks like a runabout i found in the cellar of the courthouse i clean.
