Very nice machines!!
That was a very good line of units!! There was a variety of colors and even a bagless design of this series. Very neat machines because they were quiet, powerful and for Hoover at the time, they were very durable. The gray colored material for handle and majority of rear of machine was a very hard durable plastic. Tall standing units too, great for a taller individual.
This unit should have said Widepath Preferred somewhere in that order in a neon green like color font. The wands and attachments match the gray plastic color.
There was a Spirit model of this available in a teal blue very similar to the current market Hoover Tempo. Also was a neon green and a bright red model that I know of. The model number is probably somewhere along the lines of U5018 or similar, if my memory has me right as all of the series was a very similar number of the U5017, U5016, etc.
