I have just got the gen 2 Karcher window vac, I think they are amazing. The squeegee design is better so it doesn't run down the handset. Windows look excellent with no smears :D

I know where your coming from Roger, I've been looking at the Vorwerk on and off for a while. I saw one of the older Kobolds years ago at the Ideal Home Show and was intrigued by them back then. More so when they launch the new complete redesign which started off as the Kobold VK140 then the updated VK150 I was more intrigued!
I put off having a demo for a short while but so glad I went ahead with it as I so wanted to see the complete system in action. I'm not easily impressed or persued in a decision and can take my time to decide. The Kobold VK150 just won me over when I saw the demo and actually having a go with the complete system. Roger if you like the ideal of the waterless window attachment I think you will like some of the other attachment the Kobold has to offer. My justification in purchasing the Kobold VK150 is it is more then just a vacuum cleaner. I hear owners of the Kobold find more uses with the attachments for other cleaning jobs around the house. For example the waterless window system an be used to clean mirrors, television screens...even high gloss kitchen cupboard doors!!

Oliveoiltinfoil glad to hear the Karcher Gen 2 window vac is improved.

Thank you folletto83, great to see you post on here too. It's been an interesting thread reading everyone's comments on the Vorwerk Kobold VK150.

Thank you for the gracious offer but sadly I'm in the US. I've managed over the years to collect what Vorwerks I was able to get & the last one was the VK130 which was not distributed here but the VK122 was out of California. When I called Vorwerk they wanted to know how I had the 130 but I didn't tell them how I acquired it but I like it & wanted one of the new ones. They said they were not going to be distributing any new Kobolds in the US.

When I got my first one in 1986 I used it constantly & everyone wanted to know what the heck it was as they've never seen a vacuum like that. It now preserved in a climate controlled environment where the off white won't yellow.
