Vorwerk

The VK200 and all its bits will go back to VK on Tuesday. I have had enough. Too many mistakes and wrong parts sent. Cant speak to a manager. Kobold UK can't help as it is not them i bought the vac from (even though it was sent from them)

At least i will get my £1000 plus back that i bought the vac for inc parts and accessory orders placed since

I will learn from this mistake

Might open the box of my Sebo e3

It's a shame that their customer service has not lived up to your expectations.

Did you actually like the cleaner though?

Yes try the E3 Premium you won't be disappointed! 😁

Vorwerk

Hi Marcus

This is the list of mistakes :-

1, Placed the order over the phone and my name and address was spelt incorrectly. I did not realise this until i received a phone call asking me for a copy of my licence and passport which delayed delivery of the order.

2, I was told i would receive a PB440 and got a PB430 which does not have the 2 extra heads.

3, Invoices came through with my name, address and other spelling mistakes e.g. kobolt not kobold.

4, Ordered a GD15 head, window mitt, kobotex, kobosan, koboclear and a motor filter, received a GD14 (old green colour) missing mitt and window cleaning solution. This caused great confusion and Dan at VK said GD15 would be with me today together with cleaning solution and mitt was to follow. Parcel arrived without solution.

I contacted VK direct and asked to speak to a manager and was told i would be called back today which did not happen despite me calling them twice today. I spoke to Pam at Kobold UK as the vac was sent by them but she said she did not have a point of contact for me at VK and that she would not get involved as it would cause tensions between the 2 companies. She also said that if i returned my vac to VK she and her sales people would not let me purchase one from them (Kobold UK in Sunninghill)

I have been told everything i have ordered from VK will be collected on Tuesday and i will get a refund within 14 working days.

Not sure what to do with the E3. It's still in it's box and i have someone who is interested in buying it.

Just been to Currys to look at Dyson V8s as i could use if to clean the car. I used to have a v6 total clean which was ok.

Might buy a Felix Kudos and a dyson V6 mattress for cleaning the cars.

Lost all faith in VK and Vorwerk now. If they can't even spell Kobold and get an order right i have concerns if anything goes wrong with the vac.

VK200 was ok, i am not concerned about the price just wanted a nice quality vac and good service when things go wrong.

Might have a trip to Germany and buy a VT300, as the service is so poor here i would not worry about the lack of warranty.

I wish i did not care and could cope with a normal vac : )

Jakub

I would think the Sebo E3 would be better value than the VT300. Plus you won't have to send it back to Germany if something goes wrong.

What a shambles VK direct are! They seriously need to get their act together or they will go out of business!

Vorwerk

Yes both VK and Kobold have been disappointing

I just wanted something different.

In Poland they used to have the Felix with the Crystal filter. I don't know if there are any left as it was a few years ago. Might have a trip to Poland instead : )

Looking at properties in Portishead again next weekend, i am also going to Gosport to have a look around.

Hope all is well in Cardiff.

Jakub

Sorry to hear your sending your Kobold VK200 back Jakub. Sorry to hear you didn't get the quality service that Vorwerk Kobold UK strives to keep. Hope you find a suitable vacuum cleaner for your needs.

VKDirect and Vorwerk Kobold UK are separate companies, you do get a different level of service from both companies. From personal experience the level of service is better from Vorwerk Kobold UK. Vorwerk Kobold UK was set up about 3 years ago as Vorwerk (Parent Company in Germany) wanted to enter the UK market again. VKDirect was setup when Vorwerk stopped selling the Kobold few years ago now, independently to serve existing Kobold owners with parts, consumables and accessories. So the owners still had support/help if required. They also carried on selling the Kobold to existing and new protential owners as each new model came out via telesales (still do today).

Vorwerk Kobold UK offer in home demonstrations to individuals or small groups of people free with no obligation to buy (as you experienced Jakub). VKDirect don't offer this service. If you decide to purchase the Kobold through the in home demo from the Sales Advisor you will get as part of the service free a set up demo of your new Kobold by the Sales Advisor after it has been delivered. Again VKDirect don't offer this service. Along with the helpline at Vorwerk Kobold UK the Sales Advisor is there as a helping hand after you've received your Kobold and had the step up demo. Again you don't get that with VKDirect only a helpline to call.

You'll notice VKDirect don't advise the latest Kobold model on their website but can sell it over the phone. Only Vorwerk Kobold UK has the lasted Kobold model on their website. I personally think as Vorwerk Kobold UK grows and expends in the UK, VKDirect will disappear!! This will cause less confusion for the brand I think.

VKDiect may give offers that Vorwerk Kobold UK can not match or give but that is probably down to VKDirect trying to secure a sale as it's over the phone. I can see why Vorwerk Kobold UK couldn't help much as they are 2 separate companies and your sale/contract Jakub was with VKDirect.

I've had my VK150 for over 2 years no issues and dealing with Vorwerk Kobold UK for accessories via phone or email has been great and still in contact with the Sales Advisor who demonstrated it and sold it to me.

As I said sorry your experience with Kobold was not a pleasant one Jakub and I hope you find a suitable vacuum cleaner for your needs. Hope the collection and refund go smoothly for you too.

Vorwerk

Hi Jon

Kobold UK were quite rude (Pam) and said she would make sure i would not be sold one from them as it would cause conflict between the companies.

I bought a VF200 head from eBay 2 weeks ago for £100 and have listed it for £75.

I have no idea what to buy next : (

Still have my Sebo E3 but i need a cordless to clean the cars when i move. No point in keeping VC100 handheld as i don't want things that don't match.

I might contact Sebo today and see if there is anything new due out this year due to reduced motor wattage.

Wish sebo did a cordless :)

Considering i did contact Pam at Kobold to comment on Nat i thought she might have been more helpful.

Vorwerk

Still no call from a manager at VK so i ordered a Miele U1 allergy. I had several S7's from launch and fell out of favour with then when my steam oven, coffee machine and 2 hybrids failed within the same year. The U1 will be delivered before 10am tomorrow morning. I also ordered a few other bits on which o received a 20% discount : )

I have 14 days to return the U1 which gives me time over the weekend to decide what to do. I have 4 choices

Keep Vk200, depends if i get a call from VK, the vac is ok.

Keep Sebo e3, its a nice little thing and well made

keep Miele U1, i will just be on 1 floor so no need to carry and everything will be carpeted

Het a Felix Kudos, i like the white with black filter

Vowerk

I forgot to add that Miele have also spelt my name and address wrong. Not a good start. However i know Miele's service is poor so i don't expect much as i have paid 1/4 the price of the Vorwerk stuff ordered.

Perhaps i expected too much from VK? but then i did not make the mistake that have caused the problems.

A lithium battery operated PN like the Accu Nova Miele used to do would be good. You wouldn't need an electrified hose or wand then and the lithium battery would last longer.

Miele have been very good to me. I was impressed with their customer service. Maybe you caught them on an off day 😁

Haha. S7? I thought you wanted a light cleaner? 🤔

It's a good cleaner, heavy and bulky though. Weighs about 20lbs.

They are a bit brittle around the floorhead so you can't bash these cleaners around like a Sebo you have to treat them like a lady 😁

U1

I bash something regularly but it's not any of my vacs : )

I will be in an apartment so don't have to lift and i am super minimalist too.

I am not feeble just have poor grip in my left hand, i go to the gum about 5 times a week. Must spend more time exercising and less time in the shower ha ha

I have the weekend to decide what to do and what will be returned.

Hi Jakub

Sorry to hear Vorwerk Kobold UK wasn't any help to you! That's not the service they like to offer to its protential and existing owners! Can't understand if you returned the Kobold back to VKDirect why Vorwerk Kobold UK wouldn't sell you one! They are 2 separate companies although selling the same product. If you really still want one I'd return your other back to VKDirect and ask for Vorwerk Kobold UK to get Nat to get in contact with you as I'm sure they can sort you getting a Kobold from them/him!

I've got an S7 although I great vacuum it's too heavy, bulky too! Love my Kobold and Felix. Go for a SEBO Felix as an alternative!

Not sure SEBO would do a cordless vacuum! Well not yet! Battery technology needs to improve vastly I would think for SEBO to consider anything like that even in the domestic market!

I would think the only changes SEBO will be doing this year would be to update any model that's still uses a motor above 900 watts in the domestic range. The X series beginning the main one. Felix already uses a 700 watt motor and various models in the E and D series so they will probably update the rest to be in line with the 900 watt! Be interesting to hear if you do contact SEBO if there are plans for anything new this year!

U1

Hi

My Vorwerk days are over. My VK200 and VC100 and all other bits will be collected on Tuesday.

I have always had great service from Sebo and poor service from Miele.

The U1 has arrived. I will decide what to do over the weekend. Might keep my E3 unless it sells, Might keep U1 or might buy a Felix Kudos. If i have a lottery win or die they will all go : )

Next week is apartment hunting. Once found I will choose a grey carpet, shortish pile with thick underlay. Bathroom floor will be tiled. I don't have children or pets, don't drink or smoke, always walk around the house in socks, don't eat near carpet and am super minimalist. All my furniture is black and aluminium.

Have a great BH weekend. It's raining here in Telford.

It's a very stylish cleaner if only they would do a compact model.

Happy apartment hunting though you should be hunting in the premier Bristol channel city. Cardiff!!!! 😁

The guy from Sweden with the cat!

I know this thread is Cold, but I have to reply anyway.
It seems that there are a couple of vacuums that is intertwined. The Vorwerk Kobold, Sebo Felix and Miele U1! I have seen this on forums and videos a lot. I am not an exception. I have them all :-).

I prefer the Felix for some of my rugs as it has the best deep-cleaning powerbrush, the Vorwerk I love because, at last, there is a vacuum with a powerbrush that can be used for the delicate carpets/rugs as the bristle are really soft. softer than the soft-brush you can buy for the Felix.

Your U1 (the reason I want to reply) in the Picture is the same as the one I have, I think! I do Think is a bit week regarding the air flow, but good enough and does high piles which the Vorwerk fails at. It is also much easier to use for hard floors (with the Miele parquet Twister) and above floors than the Felix.

I hope the comment "The guy is Swedish and have a cat" did not imply that I have no credibility. The cat insures I have a lot of a certain hair around my Place ;-).

I bought my Vorwerk from Denmark and I have Always recieved superb support from them. Sorry, that Vorwerk UK was not like the people in Denmark. Well, they should be sorry, not me.

Take care / Jakob Stockholm

Vorwerk

Hi

I love your videos, they explain so much : ) You are great, no insult was meant

I now live in a 1 bedroom apartment which is fully carpeted and the rooms are huge so the Miele U1 dynamic allergy is perfect. I bought a Dyson V6 mattress for car cleaning as i don't have power outdoors. I also have a Miele C2 ecocline allergy whaha few extras (it was bought for car cleaning before i discovered my garage does not have a power point. I also have a new in box Art by Miele red roses.

No pets, kids etc here and i am on the verge of OCD so the place is alway clean.

Jakub

Hello guy from Sweden with the cat haha

I like your videos too but not seen much from you lately. I'm the guy with the central vacuum :-)

Glad you are now settled in your one bedroom apartment Jakub

Thanks guys!
Jakub (you have the best of names :-)) I was just kidding about the Swed and the cat. It just looked funny when I read it.
I love my U1 also. Even if it is heavy I don't notice it that much and I accually use it for quick sweep-arounds as it is easy to just release the wand and on with whatever nozzle/tool I like. It is very stable.

The world it pretty small, Sebo4me (yes, I remember your comments). Once I saw my Blizzard videos on this forum and the person posting them was afraid that it was unlegal. It turn out to be Vacuumtests, hahaha.

Well I have made six videos during my summer vacation plus one minor response video (Blizzard filter frame). The pic is from one of them.

People are so funny. This girl commented in german with full panic about the filter frame on an old video. Ok, I wiped out a video fast and posted. It will be more videos later, but now I just enjoy my last vacation weeks and will just relax. Maybe (read maybe) I will buy the Felix Disco and do something with it.

By the way there is this youtuber which has done a few central vacuum videos, performence reviews. Check'em out.

Interesting, for reasons I won't bore you all with yet, I had my Sebo X1.1 out today instead of the Vorwerk. It had a brand new bag in it. Normally, with a new bag, I can get a good inch of dust and hair in the bottom of the bag, but the Sebo has barely picked up much at all. Enough to the line the bottom of the bag with mostly cat hair, but certainly nothing compared to what I used to get up. Reassuring that, despite the softer brushroll, the Vorwerk was a worthy investment and is picking up more.

Oh, don't get me wrong my Vorwerk does an excellent job on my low-medium pile rugs, even if the brush is soft. I have no association with Vorwerk, but I am very impressed by it's performance. Indeed. I think it has to do with the design of the powerbrush/brushroll and the vacuum. So, I have definitive no regrets.

I wish I lived in the UK/US and had wall-to-wall carpets so I really could test it out. But I do not. In Sweden it is most wooden floors, tiles and stone type floors plus some area rugs.

The picture is of the uprights I have plus you get a hint of the configuration of a Swedish living room!

I do like the Vorwerk. I will get one at some point.

You'd think they would have carpets in Sweden as it's so cold in the winter brrrrrr and wood flooring can be a bit cold.

In Sweden in the 70's (I was just a child) I remember seeing on TV old people in the UK having huge problems warming their houses/flats. They had to put coins in a box and if you did not have money they would freeze to death. Also they only had one glass windows. Well, in those days electricity in Sweden was very cheap and we had two glass windows. So we had it warm and cozy. Another factor was the boom of carpets in the 70's. It was so intense that the manufactures made a lot of low quality carpets which, in the end, ended the use of carpets.

These days electricity is expensive so it pays off installing three glass windows. I have that now. So the reason is low quality carpets and many layer glass windows. The three glass windows really keeps the cold out.
