This might be on its way already, but I tried to post hours ago, and it didn't go out. This makes no promises, and is offerred by the child of the original owners. It would provide me with the proper tools for one of my Roll-Easys, some cream tools for my Cord-Reel, and the vacuum works, I could locate the proper tools for that at my leisure. And I could learn how to repaint.

Bah you can do that up easily Alan, just needs some good old fashioned elbow grease and a bit of patience.

:]

The tools/cleaning head looks virtually mint imo Alan, soon as ya get the black rubbish off em ;p

Crevicetool should nab that one up, and perform his magic... like he has done with Luxes and Universal Jet 99s!

That would be a fabulous candidate for restoration.

Go for it Alan! You could use it to practice your painting skills. I think if I bought something like that I might even get creative with a wild custom paint job, just for fun.

My ears were burning.....

Then I read this thread! Alan, that would be a great machine for you to work on! Big deal, the paint's messed up, but the integrity of the can and the swivel seem to be intact. I think you would be very satisfied after having finished that machine. I currently have a green and white GE swivel top that I will probably start in the spring. The trick will be getting the logo and the General Electric wording back on. Good luck, and thanks for the compliments!...Rick

Seeing what you did with the Jet 99

and the Electrolux, your GE will be a prize to see. My facilities for that type of in-depth restoration are nil, and I think close to closing of that auction, I'll put in a bid. I just pulled my backside out of the fire with another auction that the seller never delivered my package, and the item went back on sale again before my refund cleared!

You should try and get it Alan. Seller has 100 percent positive feedback. Plus, she lives close enough to me that if she doesn't send you the package, I'll send some of my "muscle" over to her house ;P

Seriously though, Rick is right, for the price you cannot go wrong, and it would be a great learning experience. The paint is already messed up so if you are unhappy after you try painting it the first time around; you can always sand it down and begin again.

The most important things seem to be intact, the swivel looks good and you get a set of attachments.

I can play "swappies" with the attatchments, and make the concave Roll-Easy more complete, and the Cord-Reel will have additional tools too. I will work on that bid, closer to closing. Thanks for the opinion Electrogirl, and if you run into Kerry, say hi for me. Where is he, anyhow? I also notice all kinds of cool stuff shows up in Pennsylvania. I like it there, I had relatives there for years. Here's the Roll-Easy that flat floor tool from the Penn. vac would look good on. (old stock pic, sorry)
