Look what the Fed Ex man brought last week from Roger in AZ!

I love my Vita-Mix blender and always thought it was kind of strange they got into vacuums but this Air-Way built version was gnawing at me - you all know how it goes - "you should have the whole set....you should have the matching vacuum" so after Roger played with it for a while, he sent it here.

I love it - what a great Air-Way incarnation this machine is. Extra wheels, extra side strap for carrying that comes in more handy than you might imagine. The power nozzle is nothing to write home about, but the suction makes up for some of it's faults. These Vita-Vacs came with generic attachments, but I prefer using my own favorites anyway so in my eyes, it's complete.

Thanks again Roger, the vac and my blender have become fast friends and getting along well!

I had a machine exactly like that. I loved it! They are pretty good vacuums for sure! I bought mine at o'dowds. It was pretty much unused.

That is a great vacuum! It will be cleaning perfectly after you and I have taken dirt naps. The power nozzle is a Douglas and they were..........okay...........performers. Not one of my favorites. Tania really likes them but compared to what else was available at the time it is only so-so.

You can upgrade to Hayden P/N in the Quiet Series and have a great P/N. Definately hang on to that vac!

I've been wanting one of these for awhile now. They are not easy to come by. Someone had a nice looking one on eBay a few weeks ago but he pulled the auction after only a day because he decided to keep it.

The airway I had had a little cloth baggy that hung on the front of the machine. Thats where the little attachments hung.

The AirWay cloth "Baggy" was the most inconvenient attachemnt carrier ever.They should have used a caddy that rides on the machine-like the old "Attacha-Carry" or whatever it was called.The things that clip onto wands are bad,too-they bang into things as you vacuum,or the carrier and or tools fall off.My Airway baggy still sits in the closet.

I have seen photos of the sack for the tools in pictures. I think the attachments were just generic 1 1/4" fit-all type, right Brandon?

On a related note, are the Air-Way tools still being (re)made by Air-Tech? I saw a set at Fred's and should have ordered them then!

Those Douglas PNs aren't terrible.  They're certainly better than no powernozzle at all!  My mom bought a Black Knight from Tania, and the last time I was at her house, I pulled it out and took it for a spin.  My previous impression of the Douglas PN was changed, I thought it did a pretty 'ok' job.  My mom likes how light it is and how easy it is to push around the carpet.

Yes, Greg, The tools were pretty generic. Dont have pictures of them, but they were nothing to get excited about!

I think I remember just attaching my favorite electrolux combo dusting/upholstery tool to it. That did it for me.



PS O'dowd's on 13th street has lots of new VitaVac bags.



The PN was ok. In my mind, a little better than Electrolux and Filter Queen nozzles.

One of my first impressions of this Douglas p/n was when I tried to push it under the living room chair and couch. You can't lay the wands on the floor (turned for the hand-hold of course) as the p/n front will lift up off the rug. Ugh, that's why I would use it! The later Lux nozzles lie down fairly well and skim right under the furniture. This isn't a huge problem all in all as I don't have time to clean my house anyway

Just get a muscle-boy to come pick the sofa up when you need to vacuum under it!
