Since "The Big Change", my friends Karen and her daughter Whitney and I have been hitting the high spots in this place, after three years in an interrupted life. I decided to use my wonderful Swivel Top Cord-Reel without the extra helpers to hit the things popping up that the kitties and I track around. I'm sure you've noticed how horrible floor vacuuming in tight places is, with that unyeilding hose. That's not really that much of a problem, the machine performs flawlessly. I'm curious, what's the lift on that canister when measured by the vacuum Suckometer? Can't think of the real name.

Way back in the furthest reaches of vacuum Lounge Siberia. Took a bit of gingerly clambering but anything for youse guys!

Notes and Disclaimers
*Deer were in a pre-existing condition of taxidermic paralysis in the accomplishment of this photo survey*

*No Davys were gored by antlers while falling over on to them when tripped up by Rainbow hoses*

Notes to self
*Remember next time to first toss, lariat-style, long orange extension cord in a cowboy calf-roping manner BEFORE making hunched way back with Vac-u-tronic tester case to where the GEs are stored* *On return trip to retrieve said cord remember that there are long sharp bony spikes to be avoided when backing up to prevent head from banging into low hanging rafters*

At great risk to life, limb and exposed bald noggin I burrowed my way to the furthest back corner of the attic eaves where the GE Roll-Arounds and Swivel-tops vacuums are (were) essentially inaccessible.

Taking into account that because of the notch and button leaks inherent in the design of the GE's turret-top hose inlet, I took readings from the hoses - which have all been latexed tight - and the results are as shown. I did not attempt to turn the vacuums over to record their model numbers, in that cramped crouched position. :-)

Vac-u-tronic

Thanks Dave, I would have believed you! My GE is similar to the one you are pictured testing. I'm pretty sure I need a new hose, I can blow air out fine, but pickup was lousy the last time I tried. It wouldn't pick up cat litter for anything. I finished up with my Hoover Tempo that has the hard plastic hose.
