Vintage Vacuum On Everybody Loves Raymond

Earlier tonight (Saturday) I watched an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond, where his daughter wants to quit taking piano lessons. Her teacher is Marie, Ray's Mom. Ray reminisces about Marie giving him piano lessons when he was young and decides if he could play for his daughter it might inspire her to continue the lessons, but realizes he may need to brush up his skills first.
When he goes over to his parents house to ask Marie for help, she is vacuuming with a Hoover 62 or 63. Think it is more likely a 62, because I thought I saw a tan or brown handle grip on it. Missed part of the scene because I had gone to the kitchen during a commercial and the show came back on before I got back, but when I did it was just before she shut it off and it winded down just like it should. The episode ended with everyone gathered around the piano and Ray playing the theme from Love Story. Always great to see a vintage vacuum on a more recent show. Anyone else seen this one?

I saw Marie using the vintage Hoover to clean up Bugles that Robert and Ray were throwing at each other. That entire series is funny, by the way.

I have seen the mom in Malcom in the Middle using using a Kirby 500 Series, but I can't quite remember what episode it was

The 500 series kirby in Malclom in the middle was a earlier ep.
I've seen quiet a few vacs used on that show. one of which was a Royal.

I also saw a vac in the tv show the Middle. A green upright??

Malcolm in the Middle! I recall a Hoover Spirit with PN, I think, in an episode when Hal and Lois were coming back from Vegas.

I think it's actually a 63....It showed up quite a lot on E.L.R. over the years. You can usually see it parked at the bottom of the basement stairs whenever they have a scene in the basement. John L

Now That You Mention It,

I remember seeing it at the bottom of the basement stairs too. Just too bad Marie had to lug it up the stairs when she wanted to use it! But maybe she didn't have a closet on the first floor.
