Vintage -oil drum- vacuum cleaner.

I have a vintage vacuum cleaner I would like to sell, or at least be able to get some information about it. i haven't been able to find any information online.
All i know about it is what's been printed on it.
It looks like a 5 gallon oil drum, green in color. no wheels of any kind.

the cord is roughly 18-20 ft long, there is some minor surface rust on the rim, handle, bottom, and inside, but nothing that could cripple it.
the vacuum seems to work as good as new, no issues as far as i can tell.

Pow-R-Vac

PowerVac-looks like areally unique vacuum! the "old" style Wet-dry "shop" vacuum I want is an older NSS Bronco with the external filter bag on the motor fan discharge.Saw one back in the 70's at a Daycon Janitorial supply place in Wash Dc-was a really beautiful machine-the motor housing and drum were polished.the filter bags was a large blue color with the older NSS "Horse" logo.You could detach the motor from the drum and use it like a blower or with the bag and special hose attachment-a "hip" type vacuum-and powerful one at that-the motor was like 15A!

I recently purchased a 5-gallon "2-Way" (Wet & Dry) Pow-r-Vac made by Walton Products, Inc. of Dixon, IL. It is Model 5W and has a 6-amp motor.

According to trademarkia.com the Pow-r-Vac cleaner was introduced in October 1967 by Central Quality Industries of Polo, Illinois, and the name was registered as a trademark a year later. The registration expired in 1992. So Walton Products was either a division of Central Quality, or it was the second manufacturer of Pow-r-Vacs. I did see one photo of a label that bore the Walton name and the Central Quality logo.

The accompanying photos are of Central Quality's logo, the Pow-r-Vac word mark, and the replacement squeegee insert currently available on eBay. I was unable to find whether any company currently offers NOS or aftermarket parts.

Here are details of my canister's metal body and plastic base and tools. My guess is that it is from the late '70s or early '80s--being that it is white with the Pow-r-Vac word mark, rounded capital letters that state "Wet & Dry" and have a straight brown "band" with a stripe symbolizing the dry use and a wavy green "band" with a stripe symbolizing the wet use. Both "bands" encircle the circumference of the canister. In addition, it has a removable base--the 4 corners of which have cylindrical holders for storing the 2 white wand sections on which the white floor tool and white dusting brush can be mounted.

The vac pictured in reply no. 3 does not have the cylindrical holders for the wands or tools. Also, I found another photo of that same unit with the coins on Flickr. The caption made the claim that it was a 1973 cleaner.

The person from whom I purchased my cleaner (for $7.00) mentioned that the air filters for it can still be purchased at home improvement stores which makes me wonder if the cleaners are still being made by another company, or if they were rebadged initially. The filter's diameters are 5 5/8" on the inside and 7" on the outside. A water ball fits inside of it, and it gets pushed onto the motor housing.

At this point (without having used it too much yet) I prefer the Pow-r-Vac over the Shop-Vac of the same size that I'd had before due to its quieter motor and on-board attachments.
