I just started on my 56' Bel Air mags the other day and their coming along pretty nicely for being sixty years old. They were somewhat on the rough side, but, nevertheless, their getting to be rather easy on the eyes now.  Complete restoration of the vehicle should take a few months. Hopefully she'll be ready for " Cruising The Coast " coming up this October, it'll be a blast! I can't wait to have " Eddie And The Cruisers " blaring over the glass packs! The last couple of photos are of her being transported on the flatbed of her liberation. Soon Blair The Bel Air will once again have the freedom of the open road. Or I can call her My Vulnavia, I'm really conflicted between the two names. But anyway, I'll have some more photos before long on her progress.

1950's Automobiles

Many times my family has stated that I was born three decades too late for how I act! I guess the 1950's should have been my time! The brunt of my vacuum collection is based in the 50's, and I absolutely LOVE 50's cars and trucks! You guys have some amazingly beautiful cars there, and I can't wait to see that 56 fully restored! Here's a photo of my 1950's era vehicle. It's a 1954 Buick Special and my pride and joy!

I love your Chevrolets

I was at a Knights of Columbus every third Thursday night car show last week, and saw two 1955 Chevy 150 2 door sedans, both black. The first one was a low mileage original with a 6 cylinder, three on the tree, and no options, not even a radio. The second one had a duded up V8, and a few other modern improvements, which escape me. I should have taken pictures, they were both stunning.

We had two '57 Chevies here on two different occasions. Daddy got a light green 210 two door sedan, standard three speed 6 and no accessories. Later, his boss had bought him a 4 door 210 sedan in blue and white, also standard 6 with no options. I didn't care for them at the time, but I would love them now, for the fact they had NO accessories to go bad!

midcenturyfan, now that's a super wagon! I was always partial to the larkspur blue. It almost looks like a Nomad.
