Hey guys, I just picked this up this morning and was hoping someone could tell me something about it.

The finish is satin instead of shiny, the hose fits into the front instead of the top, the two wands have a release mechanism. instead of just a button, no cord reel, it wraps underneath, the hose is plastic and I have no idea what bags it uses.

The Model number is 116.2517080 SN is D72400492.

Missing the tools. I think one like it is for sale on Ebay right now.

Found some bags?

found a few packages or 5041/45 aka H bags in my two tubs of Kenmore/Panasonic tubs.

Seem to fit, are these the correct bags for this vacuum cleaner?

Motor........

um, it may need servicing. Not a screw head in sight, but I did find some tabs under the rubber bumper band at the rear of the unit.

Hope I can refurbish the motor.

Kenmore

Good little vac for smaller areas if used with care as this one was.I have seen many Sears but very few of this style and almost none with the strap cord. After all Sears/Whirlpool were among the very first to use direct connect hose.
5045 bags should be correct and may not match picture on above packages.
More screws are under rubber gasket under bag lid.

Got it going......

Sounds nice. The power nozzle has an impact punch underneath, will take it apart next week and see what I can do to restore that. Then give it a good cleaning.

I will probably offer it to other collectors.
