Vintage Hoover Celebrity II Estate

Hello all,

Here's a vacuum that I just recently received and cleaned up. All it needs is a bag, belt and filter and it's good to go!

That cleaner takes the hard-to-find in a Vac Shop HOOVER 38528-009 belt. Some looking will find it. You can also try the HOOVER 38528-011 or 38528-036 belt. They are wider, but they will fit. Make sure the brushroll bearings are properly cleaned, and GREASED (NOT Oiled) with a High Temperature grease. That is a Fantastic Machine!!

Wow, that's a beaut--congrats!

Since the tag shows "1977", I'd take a hunch that the color scheme is sea blue and oyster white like these Hoover cleaners of the same era (there may be others): U6039 & U6039-030 Dial-A-Matic, U4075 Convertible, U4099 Convertible, U4103 & U4103-001 Convertible Estate, and maybe the S2015 Handivac.

There was also a model S3059-030 Celebrity Estate II, but I don't know what modification(s) or different accessory(-ies) it had from yours.

Awesome machines! I love the sound of Celebrity canisters. Very powerful cleaners that maintain airflow well as the bag fills due to the large surface area.

I used to have one was the celebrity IV power matic vacuum blue and dark blue same tools and power head but no cord rewind miss it it takes the style H hoover bag
