Vintage Electrolux-Need Information!

When we moved into this house, we "inherited" a lot of things the elderly lady left. One of the things was an Electrolux vacuum that is obviously vintage. I've tried to do some research but I'm having trouble finding any real information about it (mostly because I have no idea where to start or what I'm looking at). It looks it could be a XXX (from pictures on the internet), but it has wheels. But the wheels look like they could be aftermarket or redneck-rigged (to be clear-I love redneck rigging, do it all the time, and say it rather tongue in cheek). It was in the storeroom outside and I'm about 99% certain that some type of rodent has made its home where (I'm assuming) the vacuumed debris would go. There's no hose and there's definitely redneck rigging going on with the cord.
I took these pictures at night and can take better ones in the daytime if need be. I also "collaged" them to get them all in this post, I have the original pictures if there's a better way to upload all of them.

Looking at the pictures Mrs. B. you have a machine that is known as a "Frankenlux". It started out being maybe a 1948 or so model XXX and was rebuilt by various rebuilt companies such as Metropolitan or Desco some time later, you can tell by the blue leatherette skin peeling off. Someone added the crude wheel system, whether is was an aftermarket product or a home made job, kind of looks all butchered up. The cord is another story. Well, good luck with your find.

Thank you for the information! It makes sense now that I couldn't seem to find anything about it! So, now the question is, is it trash? Should I sell it? Who would be interested in buying it, considering the "fixes" and state of disrepair?

The best that you can do for the poor old thing is take it behind the barn and shoot it and put it out of its misery!

Well, if there are people who want such a "Vacuum Cleaner Tragedy" as this, and are willing to pay for it and the shipping, then what can I say.......! Good for you I guess!

Here's a photo of what I would consider a collectible-quality Electrolux.

Then again, I guess the old cliché would apply, "One person's trash is another person's treasure."
