Very strange Singer stick vac

That is a weird one! The looped handle looks like something before its time!

Just a wild guess, but could it possibly have been made by Shetland and rebadged as Singer? They had some kinda clunky looking stick vacs that were branded some other things. Haven't seen any like that though.
