This is a very rare chrome-plated Model B7 electric polisher. It was an "Achievement Award for Outstanding Sales Accomplishment" awarded to one A. J. Darnall in the late 1950s.
in addition to the chrome finish, the motor housing is actually a little different from the "regular" B7 (which was done up in white and gray to match the Model F) -- if you look at the center area where the "ELECTROLUX" lettering appears, that area is cut out much more deeply. Compare it to the photo of the B7 below. This means that a special casting was made just for this special award machine.
I've seen one of these before on eBay and wonder if this is the same one as I'v never seen another. I'd love to have gotten it, but....... sniff-sniff
If anyone here won it, I'd surely love to see good, clear close-up photos of it when it arrives.
