Miele has a Robot coming, rumored to be 899? Anyone else hear anything on this? (Sorry that the pic is sideways, Iphone photos are always sideways for some reason...)

I'm curious if Filter Queen has a booth at the VDTA? I received info that they would debut a new system to distributors at the end of May. Supposed to be a new power nozzle, new wands, and other changes. Normally it's a color change every few years but this time will be more significant. I'm hoping they bring back a headlight rebalance power nozzle weight so that most of the weight is towards the front. I'd also like the slide on upholstery brush to perform on upholstery. It works better as a large dusting brush on hardwood steps than it does at removing pet hair from a sofa which is what it was intended for.

Of course everything is up in the air till I actually see it, but this is what I heard and it's a very reliable source. I've received no details on what exactly they have changed to the items, just that they are bringing out new.

This HushTone...

caught my eye because it's styling doesn't shout gumball machine like many of their other vacs do. They need to break from the Bissell & Eureka crowd...and the various rebadged Vax models have at most only been a half step. This canister vac and it's same named upright companion, and even more so the QuietForce, are a new and much needed look for this brand.

That Vax 03...

i think looks more like this Emer Hercules (see link). I have seen this Emer selling new priced from $95 to $750. I was thinking of getting one (for $95) and posted about it here on VL. A discussion started whether or not it was Lindhaus made. Another member answered definitively that it wasn't a Lindhaus. Looking at the base not to mention where the lower part of the hose joins the body, this Emer is no doubt made in the same factory as that VAX. I'll find that discussion and link it next.

Years ago I bought a Tornado vac from Italy - it was a weird large stick vac with a huge Vorwerk style cloth front but hard bag underneath where another bag goes inside. It had the same floor head as the Vax VCU03 and that Emer as well as the photo above. A good vacuum but definitely very weird as the whole body felt too big for the floor head.
