Help Support VacuumLand:

Some people can't wait

Rob Shore has decided he can wait no more and will be here next Saturday. Greg P. was here recently, and Michael G. from New York is visiting soon. I had the 'best of the best' newsletters reprinted, and plan on handing them out at the next Vacuum Collectors Convention. In the meantime, there are lots more fun things planned at the Vacuum Museum. Our annual Thanksgiving feast for the friends of the Museum, November 9th is one such event.

Interested in coming? Just PM me. When I announce things, it's open to everyone. Hate when folks announce future events that only a 'select' few are invited to.

I am so excited to make the trip, it will be well worth meeting you. I have already met Evan Rogers (in person), and Adam Mercer over the phone, really looking forward to meeting the rest of your (local) collectors in person as well!

Oh Mike

We're going to have a party. I already told the St. Louis contingent of the collecting club all about your visit. You and I are both lovers of good food and both love to cook. We should eat very well. Maybe make vats of that mental hospital iced tea you were telling me all about on the phone. I'll let you make that since you know the recipe. Greg Palmer says YOUR tea is delicious.

Can't wait to see you and all the vacs you're bringing for the Museum. All my friends want to see you in person. Why it will be a MINI MEET! We will have to post fun pics. Maybe we can go to Alex Braun's and go through his world-famous Garage? So many vacuums, so little time. Here's some pictures from Alex's house at one of our MINI MEETS in the past. Everyone goes home with some treasure they've never been able to find.

alex braun's

alex has moved to a smaller home and sold off a large portion of his collection. it isnt the treasure trove it was at his older home with the basement and garage. it appears tho he still collects, it isnt the passion for him that it had been in the past.

Alex may have moved, but he never sold his house. I was just talking to him about all the stuff he has left at the old house. Not to mention the new house is already full.

Tom, those news letters are just gorgeous!!!!! GORGEOUS!!!!! I can't wait to see them in person at this years convention! For anyone that has not attended in the past it is a must! I absolutely cherrish the freindships I have made with Tom, Donny and the participants! I took myself out of my confort zone and made the trip a year ago not knowing a single soul. Tom was so welcoming as he was the first to welcome me when I walked in the door. A lot of work goes into these conventions that Tom and Donny bare the brunt of! They are so appreciated for all that they do! This was my first encounter with vaccum enthusiasts! I remember telling Tom the first time I met him that I did not feel like the only one! I am thankful for everyone on this cite and all the other enthusiasts out there!

I would love to meet Tania and Han's!!! And others I don't know yet!

Thankful!!!!
