Hi - was wondering if anyone would have photos to share of the VCCC Thursday night event when the Hoover family dropped in on us? Regretfully, I did not have my camera handy, and, who would have expected The Hoover Family? Dah......
Thanks in advance.

Would a video do?

Here's my video of Bud Hoover's speech. Unfortunately, it ends abruptly, because my camera battery died. I'd already used up the spare one that evening. But I managed to get most of it!

Oh, and if you watch it, make sure you choose 'high quality'!

Wow!

Jack-

That is brilliant!

I love that you got the "inhale" when Morgan said "This is Bud Hoover". You could hear the air get sucked out of the room.

That was an incredible moment... of an incredible weekend.

Jack,

Thank You so much for capturing that moment. I did not realize Bud was in the room until Mark said and I quote "some man came in and said he was Bud Hoover...do you know him". I went to get Tom Anderson and sure enough he knew that the Hoover family may be in town, so we went up and introduced ourselves. What a wonderful man and his family as well.

I thought we were going to have to pass out the smelling salts...LOL

This may have been mentioned before, but it is worth mentioning again.......

Jack Copp's first visit to the USA was this convention! I am so overwhelmed that on his first trip to this country, he choose our convention to attend.

I think that says a lot about both Jack and the VCCC.

Thank you so much Jack for coming all the way to Canton for our convention. You a true member of the VCCC family and we appreciate your efforts in attending and participating.

We, (I), hope to see you next year wherever we end up. And, it was great to put a face with a name!

Best Wishes,
Charlie W.

Great Videos

This is my first chance to check out the message board since the convention. I just want to say thank you for the great videos posted on Youtube by Jack and Jeff from the gathering in Ohio. I was unable to make it and from what Victor told me last Sunday that it really was a great time. I look forward to any other photos or videos that are yet to be posted.

Hi everyone,

Thank you all so much! I'm so pleased you're enjoying the videos. I still have loads more footage to assemble and upload, but each of those short clips takes 45+ minutes to download from the camera, convert into a different format, edit together, then upload onto YouTube, so it may take me a little time to work through!

I haven't even begun to sort through my photos yet, but be assured they will eventually end up online for you all to browse through!

Charlie, thank you for your kind words. I was delighted to be there! All the money, and stress of the journey (thanks largely to U.S Customs!) was worth it; I had an amazing time, and this was due in no small part to the warmth and kindness of everyone who attended. I felt like part of the family from day one, and so many people took time out of their day to talk to me; I've never before been part of such a large group of people where I felt more at home.

Thanks have to go to fellow Brit and travel companion Mike King, without whom I wouldn't have made it at all! I'm the world's least-organised person, and Mike took care of everything; booking the flight tickets, sorting out our hotel room etc. So thanks Mike, without your help, I wouldn't have had one of the best weeks of my life!

I'll definitely be back next year if I can manage it! :)
