Greg!

We'll definitely enjoy seeing you there and you will be surrounded by many kind people. Very sorry for the challenges you've been through but many of us can attest to there being 'light at the end of the tunnel" as it DOES get better where only love and fond memories remain.

Looks like we will have quite a few

machines for sale or give away! One of our members posted recently in the vacuum cleaners collectors group on Facebook. I've been communicating with Sean and we will have plenty of items to dig through! So I don't think we will be without vacuums this year to find new homes. This is in addition to our free and for sale piles that we have at the VCCC convention every year!

Hotel booked!! Will buy plane tickets tonight. I am flying out on the Sunday night before the convention to Portland to visit some very special long time friends I have not seen in 5 years that used to live here. Then on Wednesday the 20th I will fly to Spokane to have an extra night with all the cools kids who arrive early.
Can't wait!!!

I've just heard that some members are

re-joining The VCCC after a lapse in time. They were here before I joined. Old members, not an old VCCC. there is was/is really only one. For a minute, I thought it had disbanded at one time and a whole new club was born. But, that was false info. Also, sadly, some famous member will not be attending this year, due to schedule conflicts. :(
I'm not sure if he'll be attending the convention, but, at least 1 "old" member is returning. What a SURPRISE to hear this.
There might also be 2 or 3 "new" members soon as well.

Yes, Kids, some surprises all around.
Stay tuned..........................................................

Productive trip to Spokane

Dear VCCC members,
Brett and I had a productive visit to Spokane last week visiting Marc Turbyfill and spending time with him at his shop and home. Brett and I helped Marc organize what he is planning to offer to VCCC members during the convention. The sheer volume of what is available eclipses what I've seen in any VCCC Convention I've been to before. There are approximately 60 vacuums looking for new homes, over 100 hoses, and a deep parts and accessory inventory that Marc has maintained for his customers over the years. While Marc has had his shop in Spokane for over 20 years, when he bought it the purchase included parts inventory that was even considered vintage then! Everything from Apex to Wizard, and so much in between. Are you looking for parts for a vintage or contemporary vacuum...attachments...or new to you vacuums...don't miss out.
Best Wishes,
Sean
P.S. Hi 'CountryFord'...I'm looking forward to meeting you and your husband and talking Stratoliners and Mobile Maids. I've enjoyed reading your contributions to AutomaticWasher.org for quite a while.

Visit to Stark's Museum

Stark's Museum was yet another great opportunity enjoyed by the VCCC as we visit varying cities and collections, and the overwhelming response was a good time was definitely had by all. That incredible Banquet, which of course is the grand finale of meals included in the Registration Fee was quite the treat. By necessity, however, the Banquet does include less choices than an individual's self-hosting at the local White Castle or Wendy's.

Of Note: The VCCC Registration Fee does not include or provide any mind-altering options, either.

Infamously, it does.

He goes by "Power" followed by some numbers on ebay and snipes things from other collectors, something that I think is ungenerous where fellow collectors are involved. Some people might be around who actually know him and can describe him more broadly, perhaps more approvingly if it's justified, so I'll leave it at that.

Thanks, Patrick.

All of the various stories floating around are 'before my time'. I DID hear that he may have deep pockets. If one likes, and can afford machines, well................... But, sadly, I've heard "vile" things............
He may not even know who I am, either. A lot of people do...or "think" they do. Some meet me and are rather surprised.
Who knows? [this post was last edited: 5/23/2018-14:47]
