Vax Zoom Reach Upright or Hoover Turbo Power Upright?

Meh - never mind. Turbo Power Upright it is then - when I sell a couple of mine. Which should be in a week or twos time.

That's why I asked about the TP Cylinder but why would I go for a different version of the cleaner I already have?

I guess I could get the DM Evo, get a more effecient vacuum than the one I already have & sell the freedom (AIRVOLUTION)

Or snap up the old Slalom if the noise doesn't appeal from the Globe. The Slalom's main problem (aside from a few others) is that you have to compromise on the suction/pushing it as per the three stage suction disc on the soleplate. Its a pity Hoover never put that disc somewhere else. Its like the old Electrolux suction dial on the back of their Z500; just basically lets out air for less suction in use.

I quite liked the Slalom's motor noise though - its rated at 1200 watts and has the same Handle combined hose like the Freedom. I find it quieter than the new Globe.

Well, after much thinking I decided to wave goodbye to my Hoover Junior Deluxe upright. Though it was impossible to find a back plate cord hook for it, the person concerned who took it much prefers bagged vacuums and already has a Miele cylinder to do the rest of the home. She adored the orange colouring and its pretty good condition. Managed to sell it for £40 which isn't really that bad - I'd have been able to sell it for far more if it had the ruddy bottom cord hook! She's picking it up this afternoon, so I thought I'd add a pic. The Slalom isn't that higher in height compared to the Junior.

In its place, I have played devils advocate - I bought a "used"/new Hoover Slalom SL8123. I had one many years ago bought from Hoover UK. This one from Amazon UK stated that it had a cosmetic blemish on the side but had never been used, was brand new and for £80 with free delivery, well, who was I to argue? When it arrived this morning. I spotted the "only blemish" concerned of a Sellotape marking down one side, of which I've now removed. Far easier to use than the Vax Mach Air though - and a bit better built. PIty the old bugbears remain like having to compromise light gliding with light suction and being bagless means it won't get much used unless I transfer it to my holiday home.

Well Hoover seem to have a fair few older models on their Limited Stock page but I am thinking about buying their Floor Polisher.
