Nice!

Seamus,

It's like Christmas, just in the middle of the year, isn't it? :-) Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do my Platinum. The 6 year guarantee is so nice also!

Let us know how it does, maybe some before/after pics as I did on my post?

Thanks,
Andrew

Detergents

Being as this was the Argos version(even tho it came from the Vax website lol) it was packed with a fullsize Ultra and Floor to Floor as well as the trial sizes :)

Before/After :)

Hey Andrew

I will do pics when ive used it- unfortunatly my carpet is pretty new and not that light in colour(although the hall and bedroom will be done as they were soaked with dirty/smokey water that leaked in after a fire upstairs).

Im VERY impressed with how sturdy it seems- its defiantly far`superior to any Bissell.

I did enquire if we are getting a Vax Platinum model- all the cust service rep said was its possible ....

Cheers
Seamus

I do have to say...

That after two years of owning mine, it has got HORRIBLEY loud!!! Today when I did one of our cars I was wearing ear-plugs!!! No joke!!!

Congrats, Seamus, I know you'll love it! I used my Dual-V to do the hallway yesterday, and the results were unbelievable!

I'm sure we'll talk more about this washer soon! :)

Clayton - I've been reliably informed the 240v version actually uses a different motor to the American one. It's certainly loud, but not painful!

Also, you say that 'it has got HORRIBLEY loud', suggesting it was quieter originally. Could foam residue be building up on the fan?

Jack...

It indeed did use to be quiter. I don't know how I would check something on the fan like that?
Thanks!!!
Clayton
