ive owned the previous Powa model from the 1990s - however the one you have is one of Vax's later ones and aren't as well built IMHO. Benny/VR and BEKO would also be able to give you info here as they have had Vax models like this in the past.

Vax canisters all have 32mm measurement which means you can use any tool from Numatic, Hoover, Electrolux and other brands that still use that sizing.

However they're not bad at washing carpets even if the set up is a long drawn process. IMHO the original wash heads are far better than the ones Vax now supply because they are simpler and better made.

Also if yours doesn't have a variable suction control dial by the handle, the dust bags are liable to burst open due to the fixed suction. Best to get the washable, reuseable fabric dust bag if you are going to use this vacuum for dry suction only.

They're far better as wet and dry vacuums and can be used bagless, but then at the detriment of having to unclog the central filter.

Only thing I don't like about the Vax canisters is that they can tend to fall over because of their narrow/tall height compared to Henry.

its only really for genral use and for the car i used a powa 4000 or 2300 yestoday and compared to the 6151sx my sister used to have as build quailt gose the uk ones cant compeate with the china ones but yeah i already have a numatic george but dont want to clean the car with it and chew up the wheels out side i have 5 numatics all over 10 apart from the george i got in december 2013

TBH they are as powerful as Henry vacuums. The plastic is about the same quality of a DC14, but it's a good vac for a 3 in 1

I've never had one that new but can't imagine it being any different to the other Vax machines its based on!

Still for 35 can complain will do a thead once i get it and clean it up

Enjoy We had a red 6140 pets one for a few years but it broke because we used it heavily. It was an excelent vacuum. just make sure you don't snap the plastics, especially around the motor unit.
That Vax floor tool is very good too!

GOT IT !!!!

got it cleaned it all up got to get a new hose as the ends worn down and falls out the tubes and got to get a new floor tool and i got some filters today but other then that for 35£ with all instructions 4 bags i got the scuffs off as much as i could with eraser sopnge oh and it needs a dusting brush which i am not botherd about cos i can get one from a car boot
but anyway pictures to follow when i get time
