Hay everyone...my first post here...now last night watching Qv¢ I noticed they were peddling the new Electrolux Nimble. I was laughing so hard because they said their demonstration was extreme. I guess they forgot about talc. powder and sometimes flour from the kitchen. I keep calling in on these channels for someone to pick up those things first to see all the dust come flying around the machine, then trying to pick up the dog kibble, big chunky things and so forth. I keep calling them & asking why don't they pick up powder or flour in their demo's but so far have not gotten anything back, which I already know the answer. OH...then one broke on live tv & couldn't get the camera off it fast enough.. & if you watch close enough there is kick back on some machines on the floor. These demo's keep airing throughout the day. If your going to demonstrate a vacuum on live tv, please try to make it look as realistic as possible..LOL... consumers are not as gulable as they think! Have a great one! CHEERS!!

LOL

On Argos TV the presenters don't know how to use a Dyson DC27! they figure most of it out, and whilst they are figuring out how the wand and hose work, the camera man shows us the free tool kit instead :P then they use the Dyson on the rug with the brushes turned off! the flower got sucked up fine as well as everything, suprisingly but the flower has remained a TINY bit in the rug :) but she says use it off(the brushbar) and when theres a tough task, turn it on

hsn tti demo pro julie demos hoover product and even the dirt devils beautifully...her demos are spot on and her clear descripitions and highlighting of the features is always perfect....and when it is not she can laugh about it while the camers roll

Oh I forgot when they were showing a bissell (like the hoover guv) with the 30ft hose & it was wet and dry...well they picked up the water from a 5 gallon bucket to fast & something happened with the machine...it kept cutting off & on for 5 minutes..they finally panned away for some other tools that came with it & in the background you can hear them trying to take the unit off the wall & get it running. After showing how many uses it can do they came back to the host who looked frazzled, and wasn't doing such a good job trying to keep himself together and didn't try to pick up water in it again. I had to use the bathroom but didn't want to miss the comedy routine. I was watching the number of people that were purchasing it & after that performance needless to say, it didn't do so well after...LMAO

While I was flipping channels during the night last night, I flipped onto QVC and watched a few minutes of the Electrolux Nimble, well, they were up to the part that they showed how it was supposed to pick up Pennies, well, I think they went over the same coins 5 times before they we actually all gone, they shut the machine and one fell out. Also, they kept bragging about a new feature the old model didn't have, a self cleaning brush roll that actually removed accumulated hair from it, the feature sounded intriguing until they actually pressed the button to turn it on, it sounded like the vacuum was going to explode, I can just imagine a shell comb shaped bar rubbing against the plastic brush roll, it is going to do wonders on both the plastic brush roll and nylon bristles.

I hate how they keep saying that this "Electrolux" is a brand that's been around 70 years. The average consumer doesn't know that this is not going to be your Grandma's Electrolux so good luck if you think it's going to last 30 years!

hehehe yeah I feel bad for the people that called in said that they remember the door to door salesman when they bought them and how cheap in price they are now compaired to when they but their first one 35-40 years ago.

I know!

You would "THINK" that the fact that these Electrlux's look NOTHING like your grandma's Electrolux would be a slight clue. Admittedly, at first, when the name changed and these were beginning to be sold in stores, I didn't know that they were a different company. But I was smart enough to do some searching and quickly found out otherwise.

I wish someone had a link to the QVC video. I wanna see it

O M G

HAHAHA I love the way she was using it as a cylinder vac & the debree was coming outthe back of the machine on the floor...LOL what a mess...including the hosts!

My favorite moment of this classic, when she empties the bin over the vacuum.

And then when she reassembles the upright mode she forgets to turn on the brushroll and keeps vacuuming without picking anything up...

Wow!

This was a total SCREAM! Just when you think that it couldn't get any worse, it just keeps getting worse and worse. Too funny!

At first

when she was using the term "cylinder" I took me a bit to realize she was meaning "canister". I've just never heard of a canister referred to as cylinder........

I've watched it three times and laughed my A$$ off . You really couldn't get a more disastrous demo than that.

I think at one time I saw that same machine here in the states but when I saw the set up, I stayed far away. I just couldn't believe how much debree was all over the carpet/floors. I have never seen anything like that in my life. Talk about extreme demo and I can only imagine the vacuum was thinking (i'm not pickin up that crap!) That's far worse then some of the disaster rooms i've seen in a massive check-out at the hotel after the girls soccer & basketball games!

OH HER!

She is meant to be the cleaning know it all woman on QVC UK! ha haha LOVE that clip!

Mark - yes non upright cleaners here are called Cylinders, or cylinder cleaners - I never knew you guys called then canisters!

I love our massive similarities but little differences! ;o)
