Vacuum Suggestions?

I don't own a Rainbow, but my mother-in-law does. As I was picking up some scents for her, I observed a couple bringing in a Rainbow for repair. They lent the vacuum to their daughter who stored it with water in it. They traded in the nearly new Rainbow for a new one and paid $1500. Expensive mistake. If I owned a Rainbow, I would never lend it to anyone.

Scott,
I don't know if this is feasible or what it would cost, but could you possibly move any of your inlets? I know it requires some work and might not be possible, but wouldn't it make more sense in the long run? Then you can utilize all the benefits of the system you already have and not need to supplement your system with another portable vacuum? Maybe even adding an inlet rather than moving one would help, again only if that's a possibility.

I would suggest a Sanitaire of some sort. They clean really well, they're still made of metal (mostly), they're a classic design, and they can last forever if taken care of.
