Has anyone ever used that ge canister featured today? Looks like a nice machine. I wonder how it compares to a swivel top.

Ge

Had one of the last swivel tops in my parents home. It was on close out for $24.00 with a trade in. I went with my mom to buy it. She traded in our old ge upright from 1948. I believe it was 1972, when ge sold out to premier. The swivel top was teamed with a Hoover 1020 convertible. It was a good team. They went to my brother after they passed in 1977.

I missed the VoTD photo but based on Dysonman's photo I can surmise what it was.

I have the same one but mine I would presume is the "basic" model. Rear mount tool caddy. I paid just $10 for this one, it looks brand new aside from a torn emblem and missing its floor wands.

Here are some shots from the front, the sides, the disposable bag, and the cord on the winder. It’s a wonderful machine. It was a gift from Alex B about 13 years ago when I opened the vacuum cleaner museum.
