Seriously what is up with people mixing parts from parts from vacuums to create something that doesn't even look right at all just to have a vacuum? I understand that sebo is an expensive vacuum but come on you can do better than this. I saw this at a local vacuum store and I just had to take a picture because of its hilarious. I mean, it is a mix of three different vacuums.Has anyone else had experiences like this? If you have pictures of them, go ahead and show them.

The vac shop may be trying to make a vacuum for a USER at a low price to get rid of the Sebo-looks like it was heavily used and traded in to another machine the vac place sold. That Sebo looks like it was used commercially. It has a magnet bar on it-those are only needed for direct air machines. The machine should to be cleaned up better and needs a new cord.Don't think I would buy this unless it was really low priced.

Yes, it's all been done before.

Hoovers first hard floor washer was not the Floor Mate either.
How in the heck did we get our houses clean before hepa filters, plug in's, air wicks, and steam mops? Maybe we didn't, but I've never been a smoker.
But my uncles were, and I never recall any yellow walls.

I paired a Eureka power nozzle with a vibra-groomer with my Vita-Vac, because I didn't care for the Douglas power nozzle.  I still have the Douglas, just for cleaning purposes the Eureka is WAY better cleaning.

To be honest, it doesn't surprise me in the least that the Sebo shown has been sold on. Most commercial users won't mind what condition the body is - at least if it comes with a clean-ish motor, the body parts alone can simply be used on whatever the owner might own beforehand.

For collectors of course it will put the nose out, but for those who are actually after a vacuum cleaner and who probably do very little cherishing, an old SEBO made up of using different exterior parts is very little different to the usual second hand or refurb'd vacs we get in the UK.

Refurb'd or pre-owned classic Hoover uprights for example seldom have the original external soft bag fitted for example let alone faceplates with an actual Hoover badge that hasn't either fallen off or is too faded to be of little help with restoration.

I had forgotten about Dyson, Tayyab!! I imagine it must be a collector's nightmare if you see a perfect example on EBay only to have some more modern part that has been added to it from another Dyson model

But then some collectors are quite happy to have a working model. I used to own many Hoover Junior uprights like that. Bags that were universal Qualtex like ones, non-model faceplates that belonged to other models; I think its a prerequisite aspect of being a collector to put up with the fact that some vacuum parts are no longer available.

Totally agreed Nar! :) I quite like my machines to be all original, especially oldies as parts are harder to find than modern machines
