Vacuum I regret not getting.

(2005) Shark euro pro transformer vac mdoel EP602. It needs some work looking at the picture but I think I should of grabbed it.

As a vacuum cleaner it's absolutely crap, but for a collection, it has a right place. Very very little of Shark's vacuums from their Euro-Pro era survive. They were so cheap and junky they never got resold, just thrown away. I've seen old asvertisements for Euro Pro vacs that I've never ever seen before.

Like this photo I found online before - did you know Shark attempted to make a water filtration vac like the Rainbow? They did. It didn't work well, but they sure did try.

I can only think of one missed purchase opportunity that I continue to regret. About five or six years ago, I walked into a Goodwill store and saw a pristine looking Kirby G5 and an equally shiny Royal upright with a matching burgundy color scheme, each priced at $20. For whatever reason, I couldn't justify buying them both, nor could I decide between them, so I walked away. Over the next 24 hours, I couldn't get them out of my head and went back the next day for a second look, and of course, they were both gone. I periodically think of those machines and briefly kick myself for my indecisiveness. The fact that that's the only missed purchase I regret probably means I've given in and bought too many since then.

I was at a VCCC convention.

There was a Hoover Convertible,  orange base, no light, etc.  gaudy thing . BUT, if you collect, it's a good one to have.  I passed it up. Was dirt cheap. I'd have had to pay shipping.


  Oh well, some day, I might find one.

For me, not getting my next door neighbor's 1980 Kirby Tradition 3-CB (which her ex-husband purchased for her on January 3, 1981) in 2005, when I asked her what was wrong with it and she told me it was something related to the motor (possibly a worn out speed switch?).

It could've been worn out carbon brushes. The vacuum sounds like it's about to fall apart.
